The DEWALT 20V MAX XR POWERSTACK 5Ah battery has completely exceeded my expectations. The power output is noticeably stronger than my older packs, and the improved runtime means I can get through demanding projects without constantly swapping batteries. What really stands out is how compact and lightweight it is for the performance it delivers. The tools feel more balanced in hand, and the battery stays cool even during heavy use. Charging time is quick, and the overall build quality is exactly what you’d expect from DEWALT solid, durable, and built for real jobsite conditions. If you rely on your tools every day or just want more power and efficiency for home projects, this battery is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

This DEWALT 20V MAX POWERSTACK 5Ah battery is a great upgrade for DEWALT 20V tools. It has plenty of runtime, but it is still more compact than a lot of larger batteries, which makes tools feel better balanced and less bulky during use. I like that it gives strong, consistent power, especially for higher-demand tools where a smaller battery can drain quickly. It feels solid, charges well, and fits my DEWALT 20V tools without any issue. Overall, this is a powerful and practical battery to have on hand, especially if you already use the DEWALT 20V MAX system. It is not cheap, but the extra runtime and compact design make it worth it.

One of the best batteries DeWalt has ever made. Great for high demand tools like saws and grinders.

Update: See below I purchased two of these and both have failed power indicators. No idea what level they are at. Fortunately, I also purchased the DeWalt hi-speed charger and keep it in the trunk of my Ridgeline. That has saved me from having to purchase additional batteries because the Ridgeline has an A/C outlet in the back, so I get a fully charged battery in about 20 minutes. I like the lightweight construction of this new DeWalt battery and in terms of how well the charge holds up under demand, I'd say it's pretty good by comparison 'By comparison', I'm referencing to the Waitley 2-pack 6A ($64.98) vs. the DeWalt 5A ($101.85). Doing the math here, you could essentially own/buy three 6A for the price of one 5A. Since they are both manufactured in China, I guess it boils down to this does the DeWalt logo imply their product is worth paying 300%+ more? Will it outperform its competitor manufacturer (Who knows? Maybe they are made in the same factory?) by a factor of three? I've used them side by side doing the same work and the Waitly performed about the same as the DeWalt. Only time will tell if the lifespan of one vs. the other becomes an issue. Update: The Waitley 6A batteries first time or two both seem to work pretty well, however, since then one of the two dies- runs out of juice doing the same grinding of cracks on a driveway. The second one seems one works fairly well, however, I noticed that it doesn't seem to have the torque of this DeWalt Powerstack, nor does it last as long doing the same work project. So yeah, maybe it is as the adage goes, "You get what you pay for" and the Powerstack is worth the xtra $$.

I got a couple of these as I was buying bare Dewalt tools and needed extra batteries. The price fluctuates on these so best to put them in your saved cart and check every once in a while. Sometimes two single battery prices would be 20% less that a 2 battery pack.

Go this Power Stack to use with my new ½" Impact I got. Glad I got this battery. Cause with a standard 20V Max 5apmh DeWalt battery it wpuld barely last 2 to 3 days, where this New PowerStack has removed 2 sets of wheels for a couple vans rotating all gor wheels on each, and did a set of Duallies on a 94 C3500. Battery still had 2 bars of 3 after I was done.

Was hesitant on this one for the price, since same one is $179 + WA 8.5% tax. Received today in sealed Dewalt box. All markings on battery are authentic Dewalt. Easy to spot counterfeits as they lack top bar code and 2nd serial number. Mfg date on battery received same as order date 07/2025. Never opened and matched photo with authentic new model white led's which stay on for a second when activated. Also only charged to 1 bar which would be correct for a new unused battery. Unfortunately I have plenty of 5ah batteries but this one is for a specific Dewalt tool, or I would buy another one at this price.

My favorite battery ever! So far, it doesn't matter what the job has been; this battery will last! Especially how light and powerful it is. It's a little wider, but I don't mind that.

This battery is quite expensive for most, yet it delivers in performance and hopefully will last a couple of years more than a standard DeWalt battery. There was an issue with the delivery and seller was very helpful to make sure I receive the parcel.

Robust battery with decent run time. Has a longer overall lifetime making the extra price worth it. The wide thin profil with rubberized over molding, is very nice for setting tools down on slick surfaces. However if using eith an 18v battery adapter, it won't be compatible with all 18v tools! You'll get a breif activation of the tool and that's it, as if it's going into protection. Then requires installation in another 20v tool or charger to work again. I'm guessing it's BMS related, no communication with the tool.
