Great instalment, bit too easy
We played the original game and lumen fidei before expedition: endurance. It's probably the best of the three we've played. The plot was great and we really liked the scenario and characters. We almost did it in the second run but had to do a third one. On the negative side we found it a bit too easy and the sanity attributes didn't come up very often and didn't really work that well. Overall definitely go for this one over the lumen fidei which left a lot to be desired.

A great installment
Carrying on the clever mechanics of the T.I.M.E Stories game, this expansion takes to you the Antarctic in 1914, and to Shackleton's Endurance Expedition. With a sinister and somewhat creepy theme, the feel of this expansion was close to the original Asylum episode. We found this a little easier and managed to finish on our second run, but there was definitely some dumb luck involved in that. With parts of the game we haven't yet explored, we will probably play this again in a few months to see the other options. The atmosphere created is great, with a real sense of something eerie hanging over the game.

Dull, linear and uninspiring
This was extremely weak. No sense of branching narratives. Just went forward and solved it, by far the fastest game of them all.A complete let down, to the point i sold the base game after this edition. There was one novel feature in it, but not enough to save this destroying my admiration for the game series. The cost just isn't worth it for such a short amount of game play.

Worst Expansion Yet
The story was HP Lovecraft creepy but incredibly poor - unlike normal time stories, there was no weaving narrative through multiple play throughs. No items carried forward between runs (plans etc). The forced hard game reset was annoying (it happens so early on that you will understand this is not a spoiler once you play) but you have to reset all the item decks. The dice roll mechanic is still abysmal, other games do dice rolling better.WARNING: a spoiler and another reason not to buy the game followsThe overarching narrative between games is not furthered in any way - you will not miss out on anything by not completing/purchasing this.
