Totally kidding, but with a nugget of truth. There’s nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable “down there” and that really doesn’t help one to feel desirable. I tested positive for BV during my past pregnancy and after chronic itching, tried everything I could think to: Yogurts, garlic (both orally and suppository), Manuka honey, Apple cider vinegar, probiotics, tea tree oil, etc.. Becasue I was pregnant and desperate, against my better judgement, I went on two seperate week-long antibiotic prescriptions. Those relieved my problems only temporarily (I’m talking maybe for a day or two) before they came back worse than before. On my GP’s recommendation I tried boric acid suppositories and within 5 days I could tell that they were working. It’s been four months and I still will insert one every now and again at night if I feel something is off, and by the next morning all of my symptoms are gone.
