It has come out fine from full-on rain and partial plunge into a stream, so I'd imagine it'll be OK when you're paddling. **Q: Hi guys. how robust is it? could i wear it mountain biking? could i wear it snorkeling? what's the diameter? thank you very much** A: It's fairly robust, the strap is uncomfortable as it's a cheap velcro one but it does the job. I don't use it for precise nav, only for "which way is North" kind of nav.
