Here is the secret, because when the RIVA Concert is on, it's always connected to your WiFi and Internet so it's always listening and running behind the scene. This will shorten the Battery Life. So when you want to use the Battery just power the unit off when you are done listening and you'll get between 12-15 hours per charge. That's what I am experiencing. A call to RIVA Support confirmed this. My only MINOR issue is the only way to Charge the Battery is by having it attached to the RIVA Speaker. I wish it had a separate charging connector so I could remove the battery and charge it inside. I keep this speaker outside on my deck and it's a bit of a pain to have to move the whole thing to an outlet to charge it. Again minor but I felt you should know. I did know this before I purchased it so obviously it was not deal breaker.
