The best Wii HDMI adapter Iโve used
Works great. No noise, flickering or diagonal lines across the image like Iโve had in the past with some cheaper adapters. Iโve seen some reviews of this say the image is a little dark. I havenโt found that but you can always adjust your tv settings if thatโs an issue for you. I run my Wii + Kaico adapter through an HDMI input switcher with no issues at all. The Portholic adapter I was using previously isnโt compatible with my new Sony tv (even when connected directly) and the signal would disappear and reappear every few seconds, making it unusable. This solved that issue too. I do like that this has a flexible cable. This means the adapter + the HDMI cord donโt protrude out the back of the console as much. The Wii can now sit closer to a wall or the back of a cabinet. With other solid adapters the Wii would have to sit quite far forward. This is the best solution Iโve found to connect to a modern TV. Itโs at least as good as connecting via component cables (inputs my current display doesnโt have). Bare in mind the Wii is not an HD console but Iโve found setting the Wii screen type to 480p gives the best results.

Worth the money
I bought a different adaptor first and had colour issues. I got this one as an alternative and it was spot on from the off. Easy to setup, correct colours, and no problems. I should have gone with this one to start off.

Clear picture quality with no ghost lines present... but results in a very dark image
This is a very good adapter that works perfectly on my PAL Wii in HDTV 480p mode. I haven't tested it with 480i signals because I'm not sure why I'd need to. There are no ghost lines present and the image quality is pretty good. However, you will immediately notice that the image is very, VERY dark. This is a bit of a shame but I have got used to playing Mario Kart Wii with a dark image. It does make driving certain tracks pretty difficult as it is hard to see what I'm meant to be doing. This is definitely a much more reliable option than the standard cheap Wii2HDMIs that just ruin the image quality and cause ghost lines. If you don't mind a dark image, then this is probably the converter for you. If you want to try to brighten the image in post (if you are recording your gameplay), then this results in weird colours where the contrast and brightness just looks off. I'd suggest keeping colour correction quite minimal because of this. In terms of input lag, this adapter doesn't add much at all. I used to use component cables and convert that signal to HDMI and this method had pretty much no input latency. The Kaico seems to have very slightly more delay. It is clear that if you care a lot about input latency, then using either composite or component cables and NOT converting to HDMI will result in the least noticable delay. Having said all this, I am still looking for a 'perfect' Wii2HDMI converter. The previous ones have either had noticable input delay, ghost lines, or weird colours, and this one is too dark. I am considering either a Hyperkin Cable or Mayflash converter, but am not sure about their compatibility with PAL Wiis, which is why I'll probably stick with the Kaico adapter.

Excellent product, superb picture!
Plug and play, so simple to use, and seriously upgraded the picture quality of the wii when used on our widescreen smart tv. Recently decided to dust off the wii for the grandkids to play with and we're so disappointed in the blurry picture that it was destined for the tip. Decided to try an adapter first and so pleased that we did. Not sure the grandkids will get a look in now we've rediscovered out love of wii bowling and wii golf ๐

Garbage
Don't waste your time or money on this garbage. Half the time you don't get a display, and when you actualy do, the picture is all washed out and dark. I will be returning for a refund

Good piece of kit.
Works perfectly allowing connection of original Wii to new smart TV without composite connections.

Worked for the Wii
Works well, can use the Wii on a new TV now. Very slightly dull on the graphics, but the Wii was never great in that respect anyway.
