VaxSteam Fresh Power Plus | Above Floor Cleaning with Long Reach | Cariable Steam Control - S84-W7-P

This is my third purchase of this same steamer in about 3 or 4 years. You might wonder why I keep buying the same steamer when they die after about a year, but the honest answer is because I just don't think you can beat this steamer! (Plus I live in a hard water area which I think really does affect the lifespan of these)I only use it for my floors but use it at least one, sometimes twice a day as I have 2 dogs and a cat plus 3 people in the house and I like to know my floors are clean! I've tried a few of my friends different steamers to compare and this Vax one is the only one that ticks all of the boxes for me.*It's light enough but feels quite sturdy*it heats up and is ready to go in literally a few seconds* I have a fair sized 4 bed home and can steam my lounge, kitchen, dining room and bathroom all on 1 tank of water/detergent and also without having to unplug it to go upstairs (obviously I change the pad for bathroom though)*the floors are dry within a few minutes which is very important in a busy home!*the most important point is it gives fantastic results! Very clean, streak free floors everytime! It cleans marks and messes up really quick and easily.*it's easy to store* I've got about 15 of the floor pads and they're so easy to just pull off the bottom and throw in the wash at the end of each steam.*it's also one of the better looking steamers out there.So I would definitely recommend this steamer to anyone.

I really like my steam mop, I only use it for my tiled kitchen and bathroom floors, not refreshing carpet however.So.. Pros and Cons: the tank doesn’t last forever but refilling is easy, seems to get up the dirt but you need 2 to 3 mop heads for the kitchen and then 1 for the bathrooms so buy extra mop pads. Leave floor almost dry.Easy to use, not too heavy, but vobstantly refilling the detergent. Main issue that that structurally there is a weakness where the handle joins the steam unit. If you take the mop pad off to use the brush and steam to give your floor a scrub on the stubborn dirt the plastic snaps. This happened very soon after purchasing. So far I’ve just gaffer taped it together and it still works, but disappointed given the cost. See photo

Great and cleans the vinal floors really really well and with minimal water so drys quickly.The hard part was no instructions on how to mount the bracket that holds it to the wall, no pictures so after a lot of guessing the bracket is more to rest the mop in to stop it falling sideways.The holes in the bracket are tiny so dont expect to get screws thought it and into plasterboard wall plugs. Ended up glueing it to the wall with no nails glue.The downside is it needs vax specific heads and not universal but they do stay on and clean well. It comes with a small bottle of detergent which will fill it twice (250ml) but can my a 5lt can of generic detergent far cheaper than own brand and it works just as well.Brought up my stubborn restroom floor beautiful.

It's brilliant. Works really well. Very happy with it. I don't use much of the detergent. It makes 'mopping' and cleaning so easy and even fun. It's a shame it doesn't come with a window scraper, and extra floor pads. The only other thing is that a bit of it has broken - the weakest bit I think - where the stick middle bit meets the main steam section near the handle. It still works great, unaffected. I would recommend this.I like the 360 degree head and the different attachments. Powerful and efficient.

This is a perfectly good steam cleaner. Just do not expect more than a few months of use before it breaks and becomes unusable.Ours broke after 8 months (pole snapped in 2 places). We claimed on the 1 year warrenty. Vax tried to say we had dropped it (we had not), but eventually relented. Due to their administrative incompetence, they then sent us both a replacement pole, and a completely brand new, fully boxed steamer. A good thing. Within another few months the steam head stopped producing steam, so we switched to the new one they had sent.A further inspection showed the replacement pole vax had sent had also started to snap - I think it probably had only a few weeks of life left. There is a clear design flaw, with weak plastic joints which cannot cope with the strain of regular use (we only used it once a week! Not even that often!)So, we have had 2.5 of these steamers in a little over 18 months, and I will be surprised if we get a total of 3 years of use before all of them will need throwing away. It is awful for a company to make a device which is so clearly not designed to last. I will never buy vax again.

I have had this product for a few weeks now and felt it needed a review as I had a few issues with this product. The floor head was partially blocked and had to be replaced, the process replacing the floorhead was quick and simple just a pain as the steam cleaner was new. The replacement arrived next day but the steam cleaner still didn't work effectively so I contacted Vax again and they asked me to go through a few procedures which had no effect. Basically the flow of steam was poor and the water tank only operated when the tank was partially full which meant constantly filling the tank to where it would work. I disassembled the tank and found the silicone non return valves were blocked and metal swarf in the metal balls on the end of the silicone tube. Having cleared the manufacturing crap from those items I assembled it all back together again and now it works a treat. I like the two tanks one for the diluted cleaner and one for plain water. The various heat settings which now work properly are a good design feature and add a variable functionality to the steamer cleaner for different types of applications. Just a shoddy piece of quality control from Vax a shame as it knocked the cherry off the top of the cake, otherwise it's a good product.
