Beautiful book, gorgeous pictures, and lovely stories. I ordered there other books as well for Christmas gifts for my kids.

Lovely little compact book. It’s very well made great quality and got some weight to it for a small book. The illustrations are so gorgeous and beautifully written. Would highly recommend. It’s not really a children’sbook but more a book for adults to reconnect to their younger self. An older child would be able to read and understand the context however I feel you would get asked a lot of questions from a younger child like ‘what’s a prostitute’ maybe best to buy and read yourself before reading or giving to a child to read for your own judgement.

This is a beautiful retelling with simply stunning illustrations. This book is a masterpiece. Heartwarming and emotional.

I have been following this artist and collecting her collaborations with authors. This book is an exquisite jewel that should be read in small doses in order to prolong the magic. I bought this for the future when my grandson is a little older and both story and art will capture his attention. He is a child who wants to read a book only once - but I have found several that he reads again and again. The power of books to open imagination in a mind will never cease. I am 68 and still a lover of all things books. Well worth adding this to one's library of inspiration books like your favorite poet.
