On the birds back? I tried opening it and it won't budge. Any ideas?** A: There is a small screw on the underside of the bird. Loosen it but don't remove it. These toys don't normally do much of anything. But this toy delighted my daughter on her birthday and has kept her fascinated for hours. It has a very cool talk back feature, can store phrases and mix them up with words it already knows. It has its own words, phrases and sounds and comes with its own little playground and even a little cart which can enable it to move on smooth, hard surfaces. The one thing I will say is that this is the most appallingly difficult toy to remove from its packaging I have ever encountered. Do toy manufacturers know what it's like for a parent to struggle for an hour to unpackage their product while a frustrated child tearfully watches and waits for the longed-for birthday present? I doubt it!
