Keeping the surfaces looking beautiful and easy to clean. Use on marble, granite, travertine, limestone, and grout. Our SHOWER SEALER can perform up to ten years on some applications, but we recommend re-applying between 5-7 years to ensure the best results. DIRECTIONS: Before applying, the surface must be clean and dry. To remove soap scum, use our Natural Stone Soap Scum Remover. When sealing natural stone showers, start on the walls from the top down. Spray the SHOWER SEALER on one wall until completely wet. To help the sealer penetrate and to keep it from running off onto the floor it is recommended that you use a paint roller, paint pad, or the scrubbing side of a sponge to work the sealer over the surface for 5 minutes. If the surface begins to dry before 5 minutes is up spray more sealer on it and continue to work, it into the surface for the remainder of the 5 minutes. COMPLETELY dry the surface after 5 minutes. If you do not completely dry the surface it could become tacky and slippery when wet. Move on to the next section and repeat. To achieve the best performance, a second coat should be applied after 20 minutes. Wait for 24 to 48 hours before getting the surface wet. When sealing grout in tile, follow the directions above but you only need to spray it and work it into the grout lines. Do not worry about the tile as it will wipe up when you are done, just do not let it dry on the tile. COVERAGE: one quart will seal two large showers. It may turn your grout a little bit darker, but it will seal it just fine. And you need to seal the grout anyway, because grout is not waterproof but absorbs water due to what it’s made of. So need some sort of sealant or it will get water inside/behind it and deteriorate over time. **Q: How is this different than the black diamond aqua-x grout and tile sealant? i couldn't find this product on black diamond's website, only the aqua-x.** A: We are Black Diamond Stoneworks and we don't make aqua x **Q: will this leave a lasting finish? Satin, Glossy finish? A wet look? Besides sealing, does it leave a type of finish?** A: Haven’t noticed any gloss, shine, wet or dull changes to my porcelain tile. To me it looks just like it did before.
