Perfect replacement for my GMG Jim Bowie 12v meat probe
Two of the meat probes for my GMG Jim Bowie 12v grill stopped providing the temperature. I ordered from another vendor thinking that just a standard GMG meat probe would work but it didn't as these food probes are specific to the 12 volt version of the grill, maybe that is because the grill comes with 2 food probes. But that version did not work and returned it. I contacted GMG and they sent me a replacement probe which also worked but it took forever for it to be delivered so i was still down a probe and needed one pretty quick. So when the 2nd meat probe went out on me and after reading the reviews for this product and confirming that this works with my grill I ordered it. And I am very pleased to say it worked right out of the box(well bag).I can still adjust the temperature for the probe(using the ice bath & boiling water method and adjusting the app to line up) but it is close enough that I don't really need to do that(it is within 5-10 degrees of the temperature that my instant probe gives me.But the probe works great!

This worked as advertised. The quality seems to match the oem probe. It also matched the temperature of my oem probe. I have only used it for one cook. I'm satisfied.

WOrks great at less than half price
The GMG probes last about a year and fail. At $50 each, they are prohibitive.This probe appears similar in build. The temperature agreed with my remaining GMG probe, for less than half the price. Don't know about durability yet, but initial operation I saw no issues.This is for the PRIME (Wi-Fi) grills, 12V control board, not the older 110V boards
