When installing a DPC it is normally recommended by building engineers to remove the plaster up to 1 meter above the DPC as it may be damaged by the ingress of moisture. I think a little staining is a small price to pay in avoiding this expensive and very messy work. **Q: Can these be used on a cavity wall** A: I would suggest that these are used on internal walls cavity walls and internal walls only.
