Worth the money and got on sale!
Just like everyone else says, this thing keeps your drinks both hot and cold for hours! Wanted to buy them and saw they were on sale, JUST the stainless color for 25% off on the YETI website, checked Amazon and saw they were selling for the same price so obviously I bought them on here so I could use 2 day shipping. Mine is definitely authentic, mine was ordered from Pronghorn Outfitters or something like that. I googled for hours after it arrived to be sure it's authentic and everything I checked proved it is. I didn't leave a hot beverage in mine long enough to actually test out the length of time it kept my drink hot, but I'm more of a cold drinker anyhow. Both my husband and I purchased these, he got this one and I got the 20 oz and we sipped from them and refilled them all day long. The drinks stayed ice cold! My husband even left ice in his overnight and didn't even think about it, we intended to purposefully do that but he just so happened to leave some! When he got up the next morning the ice was mostly still there, just a little bit melted! I have a few complaints but they don't really make or break it for me. For one, I hate that the bottom is stainless steel. I feel like it will get scratched easily, though not a huge deal but I'm anal about my things looking nice, I don't like my things to get scratched and beat up. It also seems like it would be less likely to slip or tip over if it had a rubber bottom or something to that effect. I also don't love the lid. I haven't really traveled much with mine yet, but I feel Iike if you had a full cup and was driving on a bumpy road you would surely get splashing and spillage in your car. The mouth is left wide open. (I do see they are making a lid that closes and it's not available until next month but people have been apparently buying them from a brick and mortar outdoor store and the reviews aren't great at all. Not sure if they are buying actual YETI brand lids or if they are getting knockoffs so we'll have to wait and see I guess.) I also wish they made these in more colors, they do make a couple but since the stainless was on sale I went with that and plan on personalizing them with my Cricut vinyl machine. I would love more girly colors though like pink or purple. I've seen some online but not sure if they are knockoffs or legit so I didn't bother.

Yeti 30 oz Tumbler Lives Up to the Hype!
This mug is great! I was skeptical about how well insulated it could possibly be after seeing all of the reviews, but it definitely doesn't disappoint. I fill it with ice and iced coffee at 530 AM and refill it with water while I'm at work throughout the day and there is still ice left by 6 PM. It also fits fine in the cup holders of two different cars that I have used it in (with a handle accessory it is a little more unwieldy and doesn't fit as well). Sure, the price is a bit steep, but, barring unforeseen circumstances (like a truck running it over or something) it will be the last travel mug I buy. If you are worried about getting a knockoff, make sure you get it "ships and sold by Amazon.com" and not a 3rd party seller. I made sure I ordered mine from Amazon and I received the official one. Pros: - Extremely well insulated - Keeps drinks cold all day - Fits perfect in car cup holders - Doesn't leave condensation on the outside - Very durable and doesn't feel cheap - Nice and solid so it could be used to club potential attackers over the head (if need be) Cons: - A little expensive (but worth it) - Can be used to club you over the head if an attacker gets to it before you do (keep it close at hand if you think they might strike) Overall, this mug is really well made and I am very satisfied. I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, solid travel mug that keeps their beverage of choice hot/cold all day, and might need a sturdy, durable object to fend off an atracker with.

My sordid history with finding the right mug may have come to an end!
I've been trying to find the right coffee mug for years now, the biggest problem being that the lids break or you can't clean them properly and they get nasty. The selling point for me was that you can buy replacement lids. The moment I realized how amazing the insulation on this was, I was even more sold on this mug. I took my mug of coffee to drink on the way to a mountain biking session, it was 27 degrees outside, I left about half in the mug during the 2 hour ride and when I returned and took a sip, it was still warm! Not hot. Not hot, but warm enough to drink! This is just all around an amazing mug. The hole in the lid to drink from is a bit on the large side so if you fill it too much and set it in your cup holder while driving there could be a bit of sloshing but even so, it seems to stay contained in the lid. It is heavy and very good quality, also the lid stays on firmly and does not leak. I saw quite a few reviews that say they received a counterfeit with is unfortunate but luckily I received the real deal. I compared it to what is sold at REI which is where I originally saw this mug.

Great product. Just remember it says "leakproof" and not "spillproof"
These reviews crack me up. I've been doing them all day and what I noticed is that the 3 "Star Categories" listed for each item are certainly chosen by the retailer/manufacturer. Case in point: How many items do you know that are made of stainless steel that are NOT leakproof? So category one is worthless. What that suggests is that it's spillproof, which is complete rubbish. Wait until the first time you go to take a sip while multitasking and you'll find out how leakproof or spillproof it's not. It's not false advertising, but it's as far from the truth as you can get without telling a lie. Maybe Yeti is owned by a politician. They own everything else. But I digress. Moving on to "Easy to Drink From." It's a tumbler man. You've got one job. You hold liquid for people to drink. Why is this even included? "Easy to Clean" - Yup, it's got 2 parts. You got me there, although it will begin to permanently stain over time like mine. Don't get me wrong. I love my Yeti and use it daily. What I'm reviewing is the completely misleading review criteria, which has been pre-manipulated by the company, either Amazon or Yeti. Be an informed consumer. We are sheep amidst the wolves.

Keeps drinks HOT and COLD!
A lot of comments on focus on cold beverages but do not really touch much on the hot beverage side of things. Insulation tends to retain temperature, whether hot or cold. So with this in mind I mixed it up with the 30oz yeti and done both hot and cold beverages at random points in the day over a 2 week span to test how long it would last, and if different types of drinks lasted longer than others. I first tested my favorite, wild cherry pepsi. I am no ice man and usually stay away from this because of it's ability to quickly melt and water down any drink but for the purposes of this test I added three small cubs to the cup and closed it, sat it on the table in the living room over night (the heat was on 70 in our home) and checked it in the morning. It stayed out for about 6 or so hours and some of the nice had melted but not all of it, which surprised me! I didn't expect all of the ice to melt but I did assume that it would eventually have to melt a little, which it did, but it didn't melt entirely. The second thing to note and what many comments haven't really mentioned is the taste of the drinks. Most carbonated drinks will go flat fairly quickly when left out, even quicker when you add in melting ice. This was not the case and this is what I seem to love most about this yeti. My Pepsi tasted just like I had opened a can of it and started drinking it fresh. There was still plenty of carbonation and fizz and it really hit the spot. I tested this the next few days on other things like chocolate milk, iced water and iced coffee, all with the same results as the Pepsi the first night. I decided at this point to kick it up a notch and I took this to a sauna with me. Adding extra heat and moisture cut the time down by a little for the ice to melt but the drink stayed cold and delicious through the day. I decided to test coffee one morning before I headed to work. I added in the coffee and left for the day, it was 8am. I was able to drink this until it was gone at 3pm and it was still very warm. Seems to work with both hot and cold drinks.

They make awesome gifts as I have purchased the teal one for ...
If you have any other Yeti products, you'll know their stuff is quality. I got the forest green 30oz Rambler and I use it daily. Filled halfway with ice, I have gone well over 24 hours and still had ice remaining when left inside out of the sun. They make awesome gifts as I have purchased the teal one for my girlfriend and two others for my parents. They're also fantastic for mixed drinks on the beach. All and all they do an excellent job keeping my drinks could and almost too well of a job keeping things hot. I've sent it through the dishwasher multiple times without issue and the inside doesn't hold any coffee, tea, alcohol residue or smell at all. Quick tip - I would definitely recommend buying the separate lid with a straw as this Rambler is a bit large and it's much more user friendly with the straw. I know Yeti makes their own lid with a straw but their are other cheaper options on Amazon if you look around. Conclusion: If price isn't your biggest concern, you'll never go wrong with a Yeti.

Great, just not my favorite
I purchased a 20 oz Yet Rambler and a Stanley Classic 20 oz vacuum mug the same day. I did a heat test by filling both with boiling water and then taking temperature at various times. After 3 hrs, I had to hand the victory to the Stanley - it was still 176F while the Yeti had dropped to 152F. In reality, both are quite adequate for me to finish 20 oz of my favorite hot beverage while still comfortably warm even when I leave them at my desk during 1+hr meetings and come back to them later. I prefer the Stanley over the Yeti because it retains just a bit more heat, is less expensive, and is a bit easier to drink from. In the Yeti, if I don't modify my normal drinking just a bit I can get dribbles down the side of the Rambler. Not a big deal, and easily avoided, but I don't have to make any modification for the Stanley. The Yeti wins (a bit) on convenience with a one piece top (Stanley has three parts) and no button to push to drink (Stanley has one). To me, these don't outweigh the other factors. The Yeti Rambler is a fine mug, and I really love the fact it cleans easily in the dishwasher, just like its competition.

Hot = Hot... Cold = cold... It works
Much ado has been made about the Yeti product line. Ranging "it is the best thing since sliced bread" to "oh my god I paid how much when my <insert brand here> works better" Personally I like it. It works well and does what is advertised. HOWEVER.. the devil is in the details. If you truly want the legendary mythical staying time that people claim ,ether it be hot or cold, you need to "Pre-Game" your cup. I drink coffee...Lots of coffee.. and I like to have it hot for a while.. so I take a trick from my mother when I used to take soup to school.. (also from a bunch of other websites).. I pour BOILING water in my cup before I start to make my coffee. Once my coffee maker is done I use the pre-heat water to make oatmeal. My mug is steaming hot and the coffee stays Painfully hot for about 1 hour.. then It drops down from there slowly.. With my other Yeti Rambler I pre-chill it in the freezer for my iced coffee for an hour or two before hand. Long story short....They are good products from a good company. Depending on your usage Your Mileage May Vary.. For me... Mileage is good.

Check your car's cup holder before buying
Does not fit my car's cup holder. My tumblr has a dent that is not visible unless you touch it.
