Very good heavy tripod for reasonable price!
I rated this 5 stars based on the value for the money. The fit could be nicer, but not for the price. It comes with a bag which is good for storage and light travel. It is not large enough to accommodate the tripod with an appropriately sized head. The bag is lightly padded and has dual straps that would allow single shoulder or backpack style carry. The mount is standard 3/8" threaded stud and has 3 locking screws in the flange to firm up/lock the head attachment. The center column is rigid when fully extended and locked down. The gear drive for the column is on the loose side but very functional. The legs have both captive cupped rubber feet that swivel and spikes that are exposed when the cups are raised by turning them on the threaded spike shafts. So no separate spikes to loose. The legs on mine don't all extend smoothly. One lower section requires a little effort to fully extend or collapse, but nothing excessive, and again in keeping with the bargain price. The leg extension locks work well, have metal handles and bodies, and are adjustable for tension. A hex key wrench is provided for the adjustment. The lock handles for the leg braces are also metal and repositionable. There are very few plastic parts. The ones I found are: center column lock knob, center column gear handle knob, swivel balls for the leg feet, bushings and lock pads for the leg extensions, and a jamb nut on the center column. These few plastic parts either don't carry loads or are well designed for the purpose. Mostly this is a heavy metal piece, and weight is good for stability.

Best. Tripod. EVER.
I bought this tripod to support a Cinetics Axis 360 motorized slider with 2 motors when it's positioned at an angle or vertically.I figured that would be my only use for it because I have lighter tripods (Dolica & Manfrotto) that I can use as my main travel tripod.About 3 minutes after receiving this awesome tripod, my philosophy changed. A different reviewer called the build quality of this tripod "epic." That might be an understatement. This thing can definitely support 80 lbs easily. For $120!!!!!It might be too heavy for someone. It's probably in the neighborhood of 9 lbs but for me, the added weight of hauling around a few extra pounds cannot supercede the superior stability.I really like the fact that I can lock the extendable arms that support the legs too. Also, I purchased this tripod on Oct 10th and according to the listing, it was scheduled to arrive between Oct. 16-21st.Well today is the 14th and it was delivered this morning.Gotta love that ProAm under promises and over delivers.ProAm >This tripod >

The legs are great, the bag not so much, but I would still recommend it.
I would give the item itself a 4/5, but the quality of the customer service was good enough to earn an extra star. The tripod is very sturdy and well built. I love being able to adjust the legs independently, but the leg clips can be difficult to open and close sometimes. It is fairly heavy, but for shooting video the weight adds stability. The bag is not very good if I'm honest. It sounds like paper crumpling when you move it around, it takes 5 minutes to get the tripod in it, even then it barely fits, and it's not very well padded. Not to mention that as soon as you put a head on the legs it wont fit the case. With that being said, I think the legs themselves are worth more than the $120 I paid for them, so the bag is kind of just an extra anyway in my mind. I have a Manfrotto 502 video head on mine, and the two work pretty well together. All in all, I would definitely recommend it.

Lost a screw, need replacement part.
This is my 4th tripod purchase in three years (my first pro am purchase), I am hard on tripods and wanted something to handle some heavy use. This is a very heavy duty tripod, it is heavy in weight but rock solid. However I have managed to lose a screw out of the leg stretcher assembly that attaches the leg to the center column. I have managed to temporarily fix this with some cable ties. I would like to know is there a way to contact Pro Am for replacement parts?

Good tripod, but it has a weakness
I really liked this tripod and would have given it five stars, however the ring that connects the adjustable braces from the legs to the center post cracked after using the tripod just a few times which made it impossible to lock into place. I returned it, however I hope that they will beef this part up in future version as I would easily purchase it again. The ring appears to be very thin and perhaps made of pot metal. I would suggest that it be much thicker by two or three times and machined.I would still recommend this tripod, but be careful when tightening the center ring.

Heavy Duty Indeed!
Don't know about the others but mine came with the carrying bag which looked old school. Comparing this to my Pearstone VT2500B tripod this thing is heavier, but the build is so epic. The metal rail thats spreading the 3 legs apart you can tighten up the screw to lock it where you want it to lock. The handle to rise up the middle section where you mount a fluid head or jib is great, you can make it go down or up so it wont be in the way at all.The only thing I don't like about this is that one of the leg was super hard to take out. I had to use all my strength to pull it out but after that it was all good.

Not Worth it
The handle that raises the section to make it higher is stuck brand new and feels cheap

Mediocre
This is an okay cheap tripod that I'll use for my Cobra Crane. However, I am less than pleased with the sturdiness. One of the legs even popped out of the tube and fell off. But for the price I won't complain too much.

Super robusto
Es un tripie bastante robusto y es ideal para cargas pasadas que no se pueden montar en otros tripies que también se ofrecen como de carga pesada.
