Q: Is this shipped via Amazon or another shipping vendor?

I came via UPS. It was very heavy. I really don't remember who it came from. I am just very happy with it. Very well packaged. No dents, etc.

Q: What is the weight each shelf can hold and then the unit as a whole?

It literally says each shelf can hold 180lbs. Do the math

Q: Does this cabinet come with the extra storage space on top? Questioning if it will fit in the elevator

The TOP is very sturdy and adequately installed (after proper installation). This TOP will easily withstand 40 to 50n pounds, evenly distributed without any bending or deformation. This is a very good cabinet from BESFUR.

Q: Do the doors stay shut withput locking it? Like magnets or a latch?

There are magnets (top and bottom of the cabinet where the doors meet the cabinet when closed) but they aren't very strong magnets. They will keep the doors closed but don't provide much resistance to someone opening the door.
