The fixing holes are M 6 or 6 mm The Padlock securing holes are M 10 or 10 mm These brackets are Good quality,very hard and sturdy. each set will allow storage of a large ladder set or two pairs of steps. hope this helps

I can only presume you mean the width of the ladder lock. I have stowed a larger than average ladder in this lock and it fits in easily. Its the way you feed the ladder into the ladder lock so it will secure any standard size extension ladder in my view.
