Raised Hexagon Garden Solar Pond Set with Solar Powered Water Pump Fountain & includes pond liner

This is a lovely pond for the price! I didn’t manage to assemble it but my son did - although we do both have a ‘close enough’ philosophy regarding assembly, so didn’t quite get the top pieces to meet without overlapping. I imagine others will find assembly easy. The solar pump works very well in full sun. For those complaining about their solar pumps, and deducting stars, the clue is in the word ‘solar’. Whereas some more expensive ones have batteries that can store a little energy, this one does not so it’s naturally much weaker when cloudy.

Have had the pond up for 3 days and was happy with it, then tonight it started leaking. The liner has split down one of the seams. The split is nowhere near anything that could damage it and water is pouring out. Update- managed to get in touch with the company and they sent me a new liner. New liner is now in place and I have to say the pond looks lovely now. So I am updating the score as the communication was good and the problem solved.

Lovely little pond

Overall a very good pond but not for the novice builder as there was extra screws needed for the upright batons to make the pond more sturdy. Defo build the pond on a flat area (like a patio) and screw the lot together before placing in its final location in the garden. I spent more time with a spirit level to get a level placement than building the pond. The suppplied solar pump doesnt have enough height to sit on the bottom and stick out of the water. I had to place mine on an upturned flower pot to raise the height enough. However, I did dig the pond slightly sunken as well. there is just enough pond liner material to cater for this. so instead of the pond being 12 inches deep, mine is more like 15 inches deep. hopefully its deep enough for a bad winter. it's ashame the product is now out of stock as its actually a good pond.

Solar fountain only works in direct sunlight, if it goes a little bit dull the fountain doesn’t work
