Great inexpensive vehicle repair
Works great. Stepper motors fixed the problem. LEDs were great until I somehow blew an irreparable circuit in the circuit board when I was finishing the install. Stepper motors still work but no backlighting. Would recommend with the caution of resisting the urge to update the backlighting if all yours work. Only item I would change is the solder sucker. It doesn't work. I used solder wick and that worked great.

Great kit if your good at soldering
This is a nice kit if you know what your doing when it comes to soldering. If it came with a soldering wick and not the useless sucker then 5 stars would have been warranted. I ruined the electronics board from too much pressure on the soldering iron. Only got 3 of 5 motors to work & a couple lights. I then ordered a whole rebuilt instrument cluster for my 03 GMC online and I wished I would of done that first. More money but it worked perfect. If you go with this then use solder wick and not sucker & you might be ok. Put the iron almost at max temperature so the old solder melts properly. Watch some tutorial videos also if your an amateur.

Most and best reviews of any kit
My 2500 HD Silverado has just under 150K miles on it and as predicted the stepper motors began falling. First the speedometer, which is bearable, but the the fuel gauge which is unacceptable for a diesel truck with a 24 gallon tank. I chose the Zinger repair kit because it was the most purchased kit with the best reviews. It also had 7 motors which I needed as my truck has a transmission temperature gauge. This kit has everything needed to replace all of the stepper motors and panel lights. You can get as creative as you want with the lights as they provide plenty of LEDs and many colors. Changing the LEDs is the only tricky part as the circuit board doesnโt identify the positive and negative port. The positive lead on the bulb is the longer of the two but they need to be shortened for installation. I chose not to replace mine as none were out. Soldering is a very simple skill and you need not fear it. However you do need to fear the soldering iron. It is unforgiving and I have a new scar on my finger to remind me of my experience. This is a nice kit with the best motors available and the price is great.

Keep heat on 4 motor terminals when removing/installing
First time doing this repair on any kind of electronic. I have soldered some, but just wire repairs. So deffinately an amateur. I managed to replace all 7 of my gauge stepper motors without a problem. They are all working great. Here are some helpful tips for you to successfully do this like I did. 1)Heat the solder/terminal on the side opposite of where that connection. Is flowing. Just so if you overheat the terminal you dont burn the connection out of the board. 2)Make sure to clear out the solder plunger or it can clog up. 3)To remove the old stepper motors, this is the hardest part. The plunger tool works good but you will still need to heat the 4 terminal posts rotating around them steadily as you pull on the stepper motor from the front side with your other hand. 4)When your installing the new motors, if if doesn't drop in just keep light pressure on it and on the terminal side just heat them up in a steady pattern. Then once it seat flat solder the terminals. Hope this helps!!! The kit worked great and I'd buy it again. I had a bad oil pressure motor and im all better now and replaced the other 6 and all reading good.
