I was a child 11-12 when this story happened. Used to listen to Auburn’s games on the radio wiry my dad a childhood memory I cherish. My uncles attended Auburn & graduated 1962. I graduated 1981 so I grew up with this amazing story but never knew the difference it made in my life & those players. The coaching the efforts, the team I remember the punt Bama punt so well my codes are 1716 lol. I love Auburn and Auburn people & spirit. I was at first time in Jordan Hare with Bama in 1989 A must read for any Auburn person and those who love true football stories. I wish somebody would make this into a Netflix movie it would be fantastic. Buy it asap! It will immerse your soul into the Auburn Creed & Spirit of Auburn even if not an Auburn fan!
