Great starter kit for rock tumblers that hold 2 pounds or less of rocks. My only suggestion is that you buy two or three kit's as once you get into to this you will be tumbling rocks all the time. It is a super fun hobby and the grit kit works perfectly for polishing rocks.

Works great. The course grits rounds and smoothies the stones in just a weeks time. The polishing compounds also do their job in a week. I have found that using an extra tablespoon than what is recommended produces shinier stones. Especially with the polishing compounds.

For the price, this is a great kit for a 3 lb tumbler. It’ll get you through multiple batches.

As a 92 year old man I find that quality rock polishing projects me into the future. Example. Grit one tumbling is not complete until next Monday, Grit 2 until a week from Monday, etc. The future hold promise for some beautiful gems.

This product was as described and worked wonderfully for polishing our rocks! We used another brand the first time around and our first batch of rocks did not turn out nearly as well or shiny like it did when we used this rock polishing grit bundle! Our first set of rocks were very dull after using another brand, so after we were done using the final polish from another batch of rocks we stuck our dull polished rocks in the polish for a week and presto! They came out looking nice and shiny! Very good instructions come with this system. My 6 year old is so excited to see how his rocks look after each stage/ each week of rock tumbling. Great value and product, I highly recommend this product!

Polly Plastic grits work great to polish stones in a tumbler. Make sure you buy the right tumbler and grit for the job; some tumblers are best for shining brass casings for reloading ammo and should not be used for stones as the bowl is not made sturdy enough...and some tumblers make stones go from plain to gorgeous! Grit makes all the difference. This brand is one of the very best that we’ve used.
