Ignore the 1 star reviews
This ring is amazing despite what the 1 star reviews say. It has 2 rotating bands which for the record rotate pretty good, obviously they wont stay in play perfectly aligned when you rotate them but for this size you can't get something that is perfectly gonna stay in place. Fun to fidget with and has amazing applications. All the people saying "oh it doesn't teach you the circle of fifths" are just to lazy to actually learn. Do you really expect to be taught by a ring what the circle of fifths is or how it works? If you wanna learn the circle of fifths go to YT.and for any of you who wanna know the applications the first thing it is useful for is finding out different chord tones, and to see the circle of fifths. To do the first thing I mentioned you just memorize the chord tones in one chord for example CM7, a CM7 is 1 C 3 E 5 G 7 Bb, any other tones you want you can use for this to like the 2nd, 4th, etc. Next you align say the C and E and bam it shows you the third of all the other chords, because by lining up the C with the 3rd it lines all the other chords up to.Next to see the circle of fifths all you do is align C with G which is the fifth, I like C on the bottom band G on the top, and you read C to the aligned G above then you skip the note after C - C# and go to D then read the note above and keep skipping 1 and reading bottom to top.I will admit though the instructions do suck but even so this ring is sick lowest I would give even without knowing music theory and piecing it together is a 4 or 3 because it looks cool, fits well, and is fun to fidget with.

You need some musical knowledge but works well. Gr8 for trad. singer/songwriter. 12 fits large man
I am 6'2" 250 lbs. and wide hands and fingers. I ordered the size 12 and it fits my ring finger L hand very well. Little tight on R hand ring finger, but it was broken a long time ago and healed funny. Ok, so...1st. The print is kind of small, but not crazy small. I am nearsighted so I can see fine print well, but if you need reading glasses this might be an issue.2nd. Seen a few people not understanding how this works. On one 'wheel' (spins free but not too free) there are 12 letters denoting the 12 musical notes (A-G), and all 'accidentals' (flats or sharps...b / #) in between, except B/C & E/F. If you want 7ths, minors, or dim/sus, etc...just add it to the root note. The other wheel is the same. This could be used in writing or covering songs, IF you want to change the key of the WHOLE song. Just spin the wheel to the new desired key to line up with the original key, and all the other chords will line up too. This is good for cover songs if you have trouble singing or playing in a certain key for any reason. Makes transposing for those who know (a little!) theory or even just a few chords. And is stylish too. Ive played music for 30+ yrs and this is one of the coolest little gadgets Ive ever seen. Would make a great gift for the musician in your life!

Good Ring. Chromatic Circle, not Circle of Fifths
No idea why this is marketed as a Circle of Fifths ring. What it is is two free-spinning chromatic rings. So it's more immediately useful for transposition. But if you already know what note is a fifth of another note, then you can line those up and you'll be able to suss out every other fifth. Line it up with the second, third, fourth, whatever, and it'll do the same. This requires a bit of prior theory knowledge though; it will NOT teach you the circle of fifths the way you're used to seeing it. So I'd argue it's pretty useless as a reference device - by the time you have the knowledge to use it, you're most of the way to not needing it in the first place. As a ring though, it's phenomenal. Well designed, sturdy, comfortable, and understated. Want to flash your passion in music but too afraid to get a tattoo? This fills that niche. One star removed for deceptive marketing, four stars for being an otherwise solid product.

Handy for transposing, but also for blues harmonica key configuring ♥
What a Great idea, this thing will come in very handy for transposing chords for guitar, keyboard, etc. but also for figuring out what key harp goes with what key songs. If you know what key a song is in, the corresponding note is the harp you would need for blues harmonica. For example, if a song is in the key of G, most harp players will know to grab their C harp. If it's in the key of A, the D harp works. Same with the flat keys, Ab will require a Db harp. And so on. I always used a written chart to figure this out, or trial and error. This ring is Wonderful, just line up the key on top, and right below it, there is your harp key. The ring is also very well made, and smooth, with easy-to-see letters.

Wish I could give this a higher score.
I really want to give this ring a 5 star review but can't. I will give the pros first. As a musician who has been practicing my craft for 21 years, I have always struggled with quick transposition no matter how hard I work at it. This ring makes transposition easy if you have some basic knowledge of how the circle of fifths etc. works. While I will always figure my transposition out in my head, this ring will help me on the fly. Since I always have my guitar on me this will be quite often. This tool is invaluable to me. It is perfect for aged musicians who struggle with transposition, or beginners who could use a boost. The ring is sized perfectly and after playing with it a few min, the wheels spin easily. Why the 3 star rating then? As other reviewers have mentioned, the black in the letters comes off. Knowing that the letters are engraved made me decide to bite on this purchase anyway. I did not however expect the lettering to start to wear in less than 24 hours.I would not give this as a gift, but do recommend it as a tool for musicians with transposition problems. I believe the price is high for something that fades so quickly but will be keeping it due to functionality.

Great Quality Ring!
I love this ring! It’s thick and the notes are very easy to read. I love how I can spin to any note to get the desired notes to play. I believe that I’m going to have a lot of fun with this one!!!
