Spektrum S100 1x100W USB-C Smart Battery Charger, SPMXC2090

I was able to charge a EC3 battery at 86 watts (19.85v x 4.35A). The picture attached is using a 120W portable battery. If you bought the kit with the 65w Spektrum plug, you will probably need to keep it at 3A. This one did not include the plug so make sure you have one. Anytime I connected a 60w (or lower) plug and tried to charge at 6amps, the unit would turn off. This is a limitation of the plug and not the charger itself. If you want to run this at the fastest speed (6amps), make sure you have a 100w plug. Also make sure the USB cable you use supports 100w, they are not all the same. Everything works as advertised and for a great price.

Surprised it worked well! Was a little skeptical about the quality but I was surprised it works very well doesent heat up much at all and charges fast!

Doesn’t charge any of my batteries including the special spectrum batteries it was recommended for, this is the second one I’ve recieved that doesn’t work. Garbage customer service so far, I’ve been at “queue position, one” on their help line for half an hour. Edit: I called for troubleshooting tips like 2-3 days ago after receiving another broken charger as a replacement. I was not impressed with the communication at all. Trying to get in touch with spektrum is a joke, and searching forums to find an easier contact method after getting no response is not something I should have to do to get help with a product. I found a number to call, but waiting 30 minutes at “first in the queue” rivals even Veterans Affairs in inconvenience. I gave up and chose to get a call back… The timing of the call back was impressively late and perfectly timed for me to be incredibly busy. The solution was to send me a different charger that I specifically didn’t buy because I did not want that one, but I went with it anyway so I could test this RC car. Now, 2-3 days later I have no response, no charger, and no patience.

My son got a new remote control airplane and needed a charger to charge the battery. The hobby store near us always recommends this brand and we have other parts and accessories from it so we felt this was going to be a quality purchase. The charger works well. It’s easy to use and charges the battery fairly quickly. I feel this was a good value for the money and I’m glad we purchased it.

So the upside is it's simple and it gets the job done, but the downside is you can pay like 10 extra bucks to get a 100W charger that doesn't require a 100W USB supply as well. I have an Ovonic and while it has a lot more features and big display screen it's kind of a hassle to just use it. A basic 3 button deal like this one that can still charge at 6A is pretty handy. I just already had a 100W USB charger adapter. If you don't, then realistically this is going to run you like 20-50 extra bucks just to have 100W charging capability.
