KOTTO Solder Smoke Absorber Remover Fume Extractor Smoke Prevention Absorber DIY Working Fan for Soldering Station (Black)

I do a lot of soldering for my radio control hobby, and if I skip a smoke absorber, I feel it the next day. Don’t breathe solder smoke, it’s nasty stuff! For years I used a Hakko absorber, but it had flaws. It only worked when I got very close, and its raised design made it clumsy on the bench. Enter the KOTTO. I bought it mainly for its compact look, it sits flat on the bench, right where I need it when soldering at a jig. Once I fired it up, I was impressed. It pulls smoke from 4–6 inches away and doesn’t need to sit directly in front of the fan. That’s a big improvement over the Hakko. It’s small, no-frills, and simply works. If you solder regularly, this is the bench buddy you want. Highly recommended.

Pulls fume in and scatters them. Not sure how much the black foam on the front is removing. Does the job.

Use it for woodburning and wish I would have gotten one years ago! It’s not perfect but it does make a big difference.

This little guy is exactly what I needed to keep the flux smoke out of my face. I used to blow a bigger fan directly on me to just get fresh air in my face, but I hate a flan blowing right on my face. This sits next to the work itself and draws it away from you. It's also much small than I thought it would be, so it's perfectly portable to take with you if you know you're going to be doing a project somewhere else.

I had used a floor stand shop fan when soldering, but, while it moved volumes of air, because it sat a couple feet from where the solder happened, fumes still lifted into my face. This fan is small, but moves a lot of air. It is easy to sit it a 1/2 foot from where I solder and it effectively pulls away all smoke/fumes. It is simple, compact and effective. Not much more to say.

Been doing stained glass for 30 years without one. Seems to work great to take away fumes.

This fan is one of the most perfect fans i have worked with. The metal casing makes it feel premium and the powerful fan does its job. Also not it comes with one extra filter inside the box. I don't solder without anymore. Worth the price. Its small form saves a lot of space on the workbench.

I got this to help keep things safe and clean while doing pyrography in my studio – especially during the winter months when I can't open the window or side door! It works great and looks nice too. Sometimes I forget to turn it on and notice my throat feeling dry/scratchy (even with my mask on) only a few minutes later, so it definitely makes a big difference! Mine might need a little bit of a cleaning, but I find that it has to be pretty close to the piece you're working on for the smoke to immediately get sucked in. Otherwise I think it just floats around in the air and eventually gets pulled through the filter. Overall though, excellent little filter and I would definitely recommend/purchase again if I ever needed to!

Works as intended, little noisy but not too bad. Comes with an extra filter. Cord seems long enough, easy to use.

Amazing great product and such a reasonable price i use it for smoke in my house so others that live with me dont get the residual smoke. Its very powerful fan for the size. I would definitely recommend this product to others and i will be buying another in the near future.
