Useful addition to my sewing g

Marked in cm and inches, a handy little piece. Can be used to measure Hems, buttonholes, scallops and pleats as demonstrated on rear of packet and for only a small price. A slider is incorporated to clearly see the measurements. A must have in the sewing collection. I have added a photograph to compare the two different gauges...this one and one I used previously. The silver one I loved when I first used it but it very soon became wobbly and so soft that it keeps bending...also the slider literally keeps moving when measuring. So far, this new Prym gauge feels a little firmer and the slider no where near as loose as the other with the addition of buttonhole markers etc. I fell a little more confident with this prym gauge and feel it will last longer. Will update if any changes.

It's a great ruler, perfect for what I need. However it is very flimsy and poorly made. The red part is very stiff to move and it isn't cut properly on one of the red arrow sides as you can see in the photos.

Does what it's supposed to, very happy with this. Alot easier to use this than a measuring tape, as it doesn't move, unless you move it

I made a first attempt at shortening and hemming two pairs of trousers by hand and I nearly gave up half way through. While I had a useful step by step "how to" guide, it was the measuring that was a real struggle. I had initially bought another cheap measuring tool for sewing which turned out to be no more than a piece of cardboard. Only when I found this little tool, things started falling into place. So very glad I found this and at a great price! A real life saver, would highly recommend to anyone.

This has come in very handy in hems and love that it comes in inches and cm. I also like the little indents at each inch marker to make sure you are more accurate with measuring. The reason why it is not 5 stars is that ruler is very flimsy and bends easily, which does have me worried about how I store it or just accidentally getting it bent. Would say the edges are also a little on the sharp side but the numbers are clear to read. The moving marker is easy to work and move up and down.

I have used this tool to measure seam allowances when creating a wicker basket liner out of linen. It has helped me accurately measure 1/4", 1/2" and 1 inch measurements. It also has the cm equivalent on the opposite side to the inch measurements so I can convert my measurements easily too! There is a little slider on it so I can move it to the desired measurement and then draw a mark from the top of the bit I'm working on to the marker. I love it. Why didn't I get one before!

Ottimo righello, utilissimo quando si devono fare i margini o altro. Non capisco le recensioni negative di chi si lamenta del fatto che si piega o che il cursore rosso si sposta, in realtà è un righello in alluminio leggermente flessibile (tipica caratteristica dell'alluminio di piccolo spessore) e il cursore non si sposta per niente a meno che non siate voi a spostarlo.

Endlich ist das Saum-Abmessen einfach! Durch den kleinen Schieber, welcher fest auf dem Mass sitzt, hat man mit einem Blick die Sicherheit, dass das gewollte Saum-Mass passt ! Insgesamt eine sehr wertige Ausführung. Oben hat es ein kleines Loch, durch das ich mir eine Bändchen zum Aufhängen gezogen habe! Hier wäre eine Aufhänge-Möglichkeit ab Werk wünschenswert! Aber da dies der Nutzung keinen Abbruch tut, volle 5 Punkte! KLARE WEITEREMPFEHLUNG

Je m'en sers pour réaliser des lignes de couture, espacées de façon régulières. Il est pratique et même s'il est fin je n'ai rien à redire sur sa résistance dans le temps. Un produit de cette marque, encore une fois de qualité, que je recommande.

If you are looking at a sewing gauge you know what it’s for. This is as good as any gauge.
