Got the job done fast enough
This works surprisingly good for something that is so light and comfortable to use. I can't speak for brick or solid concrete, but it did quite well creating a 3/4" hole through a block wall. I used this for creating a hole for conduit to an outside receptacle. I misjudged the size and should have gone at least 7/8" for the 1/2" conduit. But a little sideways drilling after the fact easily made the hole big enough. I did make sure to drill through the part with the hollow center. At no point did it feel like the tool was straining and although it certainly isn't going to be as fast or powerful as a 115v tool, it was still a fast painless process. I did break a chunk out coming through the other side but that seems pretty par for the course for me and any one of these I've ever tried. Luckily it was no bigger than the outlet box. I wonder if there is a trick to preventing that?

Fast, light
I have a bunch of Ryobi 18V One+ tools. I like all of them, some more than others. This thing makes a hole! I can drill a hole in limestone for a 3/8” x 3” wedge bolt in about 20-25 seconds. And it’s amazingly lightweight - a big factor since I need to be able to lug it around in some pretty rough country.

Nice tool
Nice tool. I've owned many rotary hammers and this is my favorite. It's not a jack hammer so ignore the reviews that tell you it's a weak hammer. I only gave it 4 stars because Ryobi's web site absolutely sucks. I wasted 45 minutes attempting to register this. Hopefully, I won't need support because reaching them will probably be impossible.

awesome
Cured my concrete drilling problems ,perfect with tapcons and impact wrench ,just the ticket for secure railings to concrete

Drills into hard material very well
I had bought a different Ryobi drill that was marketed as a 'hammer' drill and it did not work well for my project at all. I needed something that could drill into a large boulder. After spending hours with the other drill, I ordered this drill and used a Bosch hammer drill bit and it worked beautifully. I had 4 holes (1" deep, 7/32 wide) drilled into a very hard boulder in just a few minutes. A couple of critical lessons learned: have a good OEM battery that is fully charged and make sure you have a hammer drill bit (chuck is specially designed for this type of bit). I have only used the drill for one project so at this point my only suggestion is that it has a front weighted design so it does not stand up-right on the battery base by itself. Also might be nice to have a side handle but it does fit comfortably in your hand.

Ryobi 18 vdc SDS
My first SDS and it's a nice one. I've used it a couple of times and here's my take away ... This is a good little home owners drill for a hammer type drill. It seems to have plenty of power to drill through concrete. The only thing I dislike is that it can't hammer only ... no spinning. If I need to hammer with a wide chisel bit, it will spin the bit. This is the only negative I have. I already have plenty of Ryobi batteries and other tools, so it fits into my "tool universe" quite well.

Bon produit, avec poignée anti vibrations, lourd, fonctionne mais pas une énorme différence de frappe avec le modèle R18SDS qui coûte 100 € de moins...
