Untwist Tool PRO-COMBO Quickly Separates CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, & CAT7

I do IT as a side gig to keep me busy in retirement. I used to untwist by hand, straighten, then color code for a slide through RJ-45. Fingers would get tired if I had a lot to do. This makes it much easier. Another great tool in the IT arsenal.

I was skeptical at first, but this tool was well worth. My fingers don’t have to hurt anymore while making patch cables.

This ingenious little tool saves your fingers when trying to untwist the pairs of Ethernet cables. It also does it so bunch quicker! The reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that it is very pricey. I don’t regret the purchase though.

This thing is a thumb saver. I just wish I knew about it earlier on in my home networking project. I have heavily insulated cat 6a cables that are a huge pain to untwist and straighten. With this you just stick the twisted pair in the end, press the button, and it untwists the pair for you quickly. It can go the opposite direction too though I don't know why anyone would want to retwist a pair. This gadget made the job so much easier. If you are impatient like me, get this device.

I don’t know what I was thinking.Untwisting the wire pairs when terminating cables is not hard - it is the easy part. It is straightening them and inserting them into the correct channels that is the hard part.This thing really doesn’t help with either of these tasks, and it is more trouble to use this thing than to just untwist be hand. I say this even though I have rheumatoid arthritis.I have watched the training video over and over, and I can tell you that this device is worthless. I have been working in the IT structured cabling business for years, and I regret wasting my money in this thing. They got me at a week moment I am afraid.This was a waste.

I bought it for a project I have at home. It took me 25 connections to really be able to use it proficiently and fast. Overall I am glad I bought it and I would give it 4 starts if it wasn’t for one the heads keeps coming apart no matter how many times I tighten the set screw. The other head is fine and it hasn’t giving any problems for 20+ connections so far. I don’t know if it bad design or a have a defective part but besides that the tool really saves a lot of time and pain.

I saw the Untwist Tool on instagram back in 2020. Pulled the trigger and bought the first version. It took me some time to figure out how to use the tool properly but I wasn't super happy because it would work 90% of times (some wires were trickier then others). Friend of mine bought the V2 and I got a chance to use it a few times. It was definitely better than the first one but I never bought it. After they released the PRO version, I studied all the videos, reached out to the Untwist Tech crew and asked tons of questions. Their response got me really hooked and they convinced me that the tool just works. I got my hands on the PRO Kit today. Spent an hour testing both PRO 56 and PRO 67 with various cables The PRO versions works 10 times better than I expected. Unbelievable, what an upgrade from original and V2 version. I had to do my diligence so I can justify the cost and I am glad I did. The Untwisted Tech team was super helpful and responsive. Extremely impressed with the steel fins though. The tool just work (untwisting Cat6A all four pairs like it was nothing) Highly recommended for all the tech out there. Well worth it!

Anyone who has ever had to untwist and straighten CAT 6 or higher knows how 'great' that feels on your fingers. This takes a majority of the pain out of it ... untwisting is a breeze, and the channels on the tool make straightening the wires just as easy and quick. It's a little pricey, bit 100% worth every penny.
