All of the acrylic case edges are smooth and finished, and there's a small "lip" in the base that extends out in front of where the acrylic case rests to accommodate an engraved small metal plate (should you want to add one). I used the case to display two antique fezzes that had belonged to my great grandfather, and added a 1" x 3" engraved plate with his name and information about the Shriners temple that he used to belong to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bit of bowing causes it to be less than perfect *by K***K on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019* Let's start with the good, the cover is clear and well made, has a wood-like floor, and looks the part. The bad is the wood is just vinyl adhesive on an acrylic part, so good from afar, but not so much when touching. We used this for a pair of size 13 high top basketball shoes, and the weight causes the raised panel to bow down a bit from the weight. So don't even think about adding any decoration or images. It would be nice to have more rigidity, but I guess the price justifies the end result. There is plenty of room around the cleats so I filled it with a couple of captain's armbands, but overall very happy with the product. I understand it has to be this size to be one-size-fits-all. Yes, the turf and the glass are 2 separate pieces that don't interlock, but if you're just displaying this on a shelf or cabinet you won't run into any problems. Place the cleats on the turf and then put the glass over it. The only small issues is that the turf can fold down on the very edge where the glass sits but it's no that big of a deal, still looks good.
