Very bright light for unit size
Though small this gives a very bright light. Covers a 10m square area easily. Very easy to install, but I needed a junction box to extend the flex to the socket as the supplied flex is not very long. But this was not an issue. Cracking light with very strong casing. Looks like it will last a long time.

Bright and small, but no PIR makes this less economical.
We got this light to use at the side of our house, when we put the rubbish out each weekend. The light is 30W and around 2400 lumin so it's easily bright enough. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find a good time to install during these poor weather conditions. When we do, I will run this from a spur and place it to operate from a standard switch. For this, the light will be perfect. It's not too big and will be operated directly from the light switch, not a PIR. A switch operated light is better for our intended purpose, because we wouldn't want to have it switch on automatically, when the neighbours pass the side of the house. Not so much a bargain however, if you want it to switch on when someone passes. For that you need to get a PIR sensor which costs just under an extra £10.For us it is a good buy.

Good value for money
Really good light .. only draw back is length of the cable that comes attached its too short at a mitre.

Decent, but motion sensor costs extra
As a standalone floodlight, this works great! If you're looking for a good outdoor light that's permanently connected to the mains that you can switch on and off, this is a great buy. It's easy to setup, the light is nice and bright, and the LEDs should last you years. If you're looking for motion sensing capability, then you'd need to pay extra for the PIR sensor. However, you can get floodlights with PIR sensors built in for much cheaper elsewhere on amazon, so I'd recommend looking at alternatives to get better value for your money.Overall, I think this is a great floodlight if you're not looking for motion sensing.

Very Bright, well made and ready to install.
I ordered the 30 watt version of this lamp and I'm very impressed. It's the perfect size for the average urban garden and provides plenty of light to get around but shouldn't annoy your neighbours. It comes with a bare wire end with no plug fitted as is the norm for lighting. If you want to fit a 3 pin plug it's easy enough to do. Most people would fit this to the outside wall of their house or garage so if the plug were fitted it would need to be cut off to get the cable through the wall. The lamp is well made and is aluminium finished in black which helps to dissipate heat to prolong the life of the LED's. I have mine connected into a PIR detector so it switches on when needed. I have a fair few Bright Source products now and they continue to impress me.Highly recommended.

Missing the Motion Sensor
Normally Floodlight comes with a sensor to detect motion and differentiate day and night. This Floodlight doesn't come with these sensors and only can be controlled by a switch.Later found that it has to be purchased separately which is the same cost as the light.we can find similar products in the local shop for similar or less prices.if we ignore the missing sensor, the light works well as it should do.

Good lamp, if a little expensive.
This is a well made LED lamp which is bright and has cool(ish), even light distribution. You get a decent bracket that allows it to hang off the wall quite a way. It allows for pointing straight down or even back on the wall. Underneath there's a stub where an optional PIR sensor would go, and this accounts for the longer bracket that is meant for that version. You get the usual sill short length of mains wire but no outdoor connector. Why not supply a connector (which is essential) or better still, allow easy access to put your own wire in completely?Waterproof and sturdy, it's an excellent LED lamp that will save a lot of money over a halogen one - around 250W - 500W depending on how good it was originally.Only dropping a star because you can get slightly lower quality 10W lamps for under a tenner (although harder to find as everyone has 20W upwards) and that there's no outside connector.

Simple design
I needed a replacement floodlight for an ageing and faulty halogen lamp in my back garden.I didn't need a PIR detector as the garden only has one entrance and that's already covered by another light with PIR detection. This lamp was lightweight which made fitting from a ladder much easier, nothing worse than hanging from a ladder, drill in one hand and light in the other trying to screw it to the wall. The bracket allows the lamp to be rotated through 180 degrees on one axis so it can throw light across a garden or it can be positioned as a down-light.Wiring was simple, the trailing wire from the light is simply wired to the mains supply using an IP65 or higher junction box to aid connection.I requested the 30W light which gives adequate lighting for my 10 metre x 5 metre garden. The cool white light picks out every area in the garden and gives good contrast.Verdict: This is a simple 30W LED light that can provide good lighting to a medium sized garden, higher wattages will light larger gardens. The build quality is good and aluminium case will not corrode which is what failed on my old halogen unit.Maybe £23 is on the upper end for a light with no PIR or photocell but I think this is worth the extra coin.
