The picture is an accurate description of the robe. I'm 5'4 and the robe is mid shin on me. Hope this helps.

Q: How is the fabric, soft?

Yes, it is soft but a bit heavy in weight. Similar to the fabric of a turtleneck top but much heavier.

Q: Are the pockets large or deep enough for holding a phone? Thanks.

Depends on your phone. It holds mine.

Q: Is the color as described in the picture?

The color I ordered, the gray, was as pictured. However, the robe ran small, so I returned it. The info in the reviews, etc., said it ran large and to order down a size, which is what I did. That wasn’t true for me, so I really needed my regular size. Nice quality robe for cooler nights during warm weather.
