Expensive, but they work well! Installing a telescoping TV mount? Read this.
These worked about as good as I hoped. It made really good sense to me that the "wings" that open on the back side are flat and wide, giving it more surface area to grip compared to the old style drywall anchors that tend to pinch into the wall and cause a point of failure by getting the crack started - and, most people tighten them too much! As an experienced do-it-yourself guy, the MOST IMPORTANT thing to say is that the drywall anchor is only as strong as your DRYWALL!!! And, you can not defy the laws of physics (leverage) with a better drywall anchor. So here is some common sense info for you . . . Hanging something on drywall with a downward force is not the same as PULLING the drywall, by way of leverage. If you are looking to hang a TV flat on your wall, this WILL WORK. But I noticed a couple other reviewers tried to use this to mount a "telescoping" tv mount, you know, the ones were you can pull the tv 2 feet away and tilt it or turn it in any direction. Please understand that when fully extended, the weight of your tv is applying TREMENDOUS leverage which is essentially applying a pulling force on the upper mounting screws. That type of TV mount needs to be mounted into a beam - at least ONE screw needs to hit a beam, and then these anchors can work fine to augment the strength. The other reviewers who complained about this product not working. . . Look closely in their photos, and you can see that it is the WALL that failed, not the anchors. These anchors work great, but they can not help you break the laws of physics and common sense. So if you can't find at least one beam to screw into, simply don't install one of those telescoping mounts, or, avoid pulling it out all of the way. I found the installation quite simple and easy, the included drill bit is of course the right size, and the mounts screw in quite easily. Note that you do NOT need to over-tighten the wings, just a simple quarter turn is all you need in order to open the wings in the back. Also, do not over-tighten the screw that goes in the middle, because that's how you damage the drywall is by over-tightening. The only negative to using this product is that it certainly will leave a 25mm/1" hole behind to patch if you ever want to undo this. While I feel that these are extremely over priced at $12 for just 4 mounts, considering the TV is worth $2,000, it isn't worth trying to save a few bucks and honestly these are the best drywall anchors I have found for this purpose.

Fantastic anchors (if you can find them)
PERFECT for shallow applications. I used these to mount a Cisco access point to thin drywall with a bunch of pipes behind it and they worked like a charm.

Simple and sturdy dry wall anchor
Great product and so much more sturdy than the run of the mill drywall screw. Had to replace old de screws that were starting to pull out of the wall. These fit in those same locations really easily and are a breeze to install.

Great product
These are wonderful for new builds! They hold curtain rods and shelves. They also have a drill bit . They are bigger than a regular hole. The size made it use when regular anchors leave a big hole.

I gave up after shredding three holes.
Never has a product promised so much but failed so completely. 1. The drill bit rarely works. If you had purchased this because you had a problem with a previous anchor, well the drill bit will shred the hole. Or if you are starting a new hole, if you don't stop just before the hole is done, you will shred the hole. 2. The torque that is require to turn the screw in the anchor is so much that it forces the anchor to turn in the drywall and shred the hole thus making the anchor useless and what you end up with is another 1 inch hole in the wall. I ended up with three 1 inch unusable holes in my drywall.

Solid application and easy to install.
One of the best inventions for drywall installations. After creating a bigger hole from a previous installation, this anchor did the job, and it was very easy to use. It's holding up a bracket for a 65" TV.

Good but could be better.
I ordered these to hang this heavy mirror and I will start by saying these work really well to hold the weight. however, there are a few things you should consider. 1. The first time I drilled a hole I didnโt use my stud finder and of course the first hole I drilled was right next to a stud which blocked the wings from opening. My fault obviously, but donโt make the same mistake I made and have an extra hole in the wall. 2. I ordered the yellow ones and after you place them in the hole youโre meant to use a flat head screw driver to turn it and open the wings. However, the little bits that latch onto the screwdriver are made of plastic and the first time I tried to turn it they all snapped off making it completely useless. The second time around I used a much smaller flat head and I was delicate with it and I got it to work but the plastic bits still broke meaning in the future if I want to remove it itโs going to be impossible to do so. So all I would say is I think if you opt to use these do so with the understanding that you want whatever youโre hanging to be there for some time and also that if you do ever want to remove them itโs going to be a huge pain and require a patch job. The maker of this product could fix this by making the bit you screw metal Instead of plastic. That way they could be inserted and removed without issue. I suspect doing so would cost them more money but the product would be better for it.

I bought a box about a year ago, and have used all sizes except blue (largest) ones for fixing various items and am very happy with performance. These new ones have a white collar which can move out beyond the centre (think collar moved out before, but maybe not as far), plus: the white rim/collar is a lot less noticeable - they're quite large, so can stick out sometimes beyond item you're fixing. All the ones I've used are holding really well. I bought flat drill bits, but found that was largely a waste of money. Don't know if its my drilling skills, but when drilling into plasterboard, the holes always end up far larger than the drill bit (anyone know why??), so just use a large HSS drill bit, say 13 mm for brown ones. It doesn't matter if the hole is a bit too large, though, as the main support is provided by the wings, which are easy to open out once inserted. There's also an undercutting tool available for insulated plasterboard or dot-and-dab, which will cut room for the wings to open, but have not needed that. I don't always use the screws and bolts provided - can be too short for some applications. Other screws and hooks also work fine, though. Have tried other fixings for plasterboard and most were useless. For light items, sometimes use the Uno rawlplugs, which work ok for lightweight items. For light- medium applications, also use the anchor plugs that you get the special insertion tool for, but these feel more secure. Plus: anchors are horrible to remove. Not tried removing these (not needed to yet, all worked), but are supposed to be easy to remove (and re-use). The only other disadvantage with these is also cosmetic: the rims are quite thick, compared to say the anchor plugs, so back-plates/hanging brackets for shelves/rails etc end up not quite flush with the wall. It's not critical - can live with it for the secure hold these provide. Overall, these are one of strongest solutions for plasterboard I've found. For really heavy items, Gee-fix might work better, as larger load-bearing area, but they're very expensive, and so far, these have worked fine, so will give the blue ones a try soon.. As others have pointed out, though: these fixings might well be stronger than the plasterboard you're putting them in. When the plasterboard gives way, these leave a large hole, and if you need to fix something there, it can be a nuisance. But I don't think this is a fault of the product, but very weak plasterboard. I would suggest if in doubt, use a larger size. If you are left with large holes where you need to fix something, consider using a weatherproof outdoor filler (polycell do one), which can be drilled into and will hold screws/bolts etc. Or brick face repair, which is however quite expensive. But so far, these have worked really well for my horribly weak plasterboard.
