Great idea, using first time this year
Good design, plants look really attractive climbing up the cords.

Practical and will do the job
Quality isn’t a good as I expected, particularly the ties as they are just quite shiny shoelace material - albeit strong. The top also didn’t seem to be welded on very neatly. When erected however it does look better and should be good for growing sweet peas in my flower bed. Full height it is quite tall and so I removed one of the middle pole sections and tied the ropes shorter to allow the maypole to be placed in a smaller bed. I’m not sure I would have paid £20 had I seen it in person but it does have the benefit of folding away very small unlike other obelisks.

Easy to put up and store when not in use
I liked it was easy to put up looks good and already has sweet peas growing up it. Not bulky and will take up very little space at the end of the season.

Broke after a year
I used this frame to grow runner beans after having problems previously with canes collapsing. I found it very hard to arrange the netting over the poles when assembling. The whole frame collapsed when the beans were mature. The connecting pieces snapped, as seen in this photo. This may be due to the weight of the beans growing up the frame, or it could be a cat tried to jump onto it! The tent pegs holding the poles in place do not hold them well enough, especially after all the wet weather this year that made the ground soft. Longer pegs would be better.

Fabulous, especially for runner beans!
I bought these as I had been recommended them for my allotment, I got two and they're fabulous. I screwed the strings onto my wooden raised beds as the pegs weren't going to work with my set up. I've currently got 16 runner bean plants growing up each maypole and they're really sturdy. Definitely recommend!!!

Flimsy, Poor Fitting Construction
This was a real pain to put up. The feet don’t properly fit into the ground so you are better off not using them. In general it doesn’t fit together properly. It took 2 of us 20 mins to put up as it kept falling apart. I’ve ended up taping it together. Very Poor Quality, that being said it is cheap…

Attractive way of growing climbers and runner beans.
This maypole looks attractive in the garden. It needed more support to hold it in place in the strong winds but on the whole it did a great job holding our runner bean plants.

A quality vine support
Easy to assemble, sturdy and attractive. Everyone that has seen mine has commented on how pretty they are. These are great for long vining beans or anything that has a lengthy vine really. Had them up in my vegetable garden over the summer and took them down in the fall and didn't notice any rust forming on them. That's a plus.

Cute.
It looks very cute in the garden. The stake was soldered to a pipe meant to hold the whole thing upright. It broke when I put the stake in the ground, and I tried using JB Weld to fix it--twice. I ended up just sliding the pole over the end of the stake, and it seems to be holding up to the wind all right. The stake was the biggest problem.

Too bad they had to use steel
Works as advertised. Too bad they had to use steel. It has started to rust after the first season.
