After 7 years of not being able to smell anything, last October, 2025, I stumbled across a podcast on YouTube, “How Scents can Improve Memory, Autism, and Depression”, by Dr. Michael Leon, who is currently Professor emeritus in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior at the University of California Irvine. I decided to give it my best try (what did I have to lose since this is non-invasive?) and began “olfactory enrichment” after purchasing the Moxe inhaler sticks. When they arrived, I couldn’t smell ANYTHING, but after using them as often as possible for 9 days (while reading, watching TV, etc.), I started to be able to smell scents again, even in my environment! I’m 70 years young and I also noticed a positive difference in my memory and felt that the “brain fog” I had been experiencing seemed to lift as well. However, according to the research presented in the podcast, scent neurons degenerate quickly, so it’s important to continue to be subjected to a variety of different pleasant smells each day. After 3 months of using the Moxe inhaler sticks (I bought 2 different packs for variety), I recently purchased the “Memory Air” automatic device which releases 40 pleasant scents while you sleep (very pricey, but excellent quality). Full disclosure, at about the same time I purchased the device, I started using Flonase nasal spray which had been recommended by my primary physician for an inverted ear drum, so I don’t know if this had any effect or not. But I have noticed an even larger increase in my ability to smell and sometimes actually taste food since using both! This is after 7 years of not being able to smell anything, and taste very, very little! So, what have you got to lose by trying these Moxe inhalers? It has made a world of difference for me for my sense of smell and also for my memory! It is wonderful to be able to smell again!!!

MOXE is known for its use of natural ingredients and that is why I ordered this brand. The stick has a twist body to remove the outside cover and this helps to keep lid tight and product fresh. The lavender scent is accompanied with a eucalyptus smell which I initially did not care for. Now I find that I enjoy it to open up sinuses which helps me relax with the lavender combination. The stick is simple to use. You can make the scent as strong or light as desired by moving the stick closer or further from your nose. I have used this product for 2 weeks and it smells just as fresh as when opened. It is a relaxing experience and I feel worth the money.

As the title suggests - I did not read the instructions on the back and assumed it was like any other nasal inhaler. It’s not. Please trust me on this. Do NOT put it inside your nose to inhale!!! I have a bad cold and can’t smell anything or I’m sure I would’ve noticed how potent these things are (my teen daughter downstairs could smell it and ran up to see what was going on). If you do put it in your nose - be prepared. Your sinuses and throat will burn. Your eyes will burn and water. Your nose will run nonstop. And you will puke. Trust me on this. It’s not pretty. 40 minutes later my nose and throat still burn but the puking stopped. Now it’s just a ton of saliva. Tons. That said - I’m not as congested as I’ve been for the last 4 days. And apparently it smells good (according to my daughter). Not sure I’ll use it again for a couple of days. I’m terrified. But next time I’ll hold it UNDER my nose and not IN my nose.

Smells great, helped with my Granddaughters sinuses. Not much else to say.

Minimal effectiveness

Another review also made note - DO NOT put this in your nose like you probably have done for similar inhalers. The eucalyptus is VERY strong. Just wave it under your nose and breathe. Very refreshing. Got it for bronchial attacks as eucalyptus is supposed to be a mild bronchial dilator and cannot use epinephrine. Haven't had to use it for that yet but it helps clear the sinuses.

100% strong but I still take a good long haul and I am glad to say, this is an excellent nasal therapy treatment.

Smells soooo good and helps with anxiety. I don't know if it helps because it reminds me to breathe but it's just a very calming scent and I love it
