I wish it would have had 2-3 brightness settings because even with a 40 watt bulb it's really bright. I'm going to try it with a 25 or 30. The lamp itself is beautiful and well made.

I love the lamp but the socket wasnt exactly centered so then the bulb was slightly tilted so globe is crooked. I dont want to teturn this beautiful lamp but wont reorder it. I emailed Lamps plus and they immediately cent me another one. This time, the socket is centered and it’s not defective and I'm satisfied.

Lamp is beautiful and captures the period we were looking for; however wished the resin was not so gold and had some darker under tones to enhance the details. Looking for a way to add some darker tones to the lamp so it does not look so monochromatic. Perfect size and throws-off ample light.
