I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Remoska!
This is an amazing kitchen accessory. In fact, it isn't so much an accessory but one of the mainstream appliances I have now as I probably use it every day. I works instead of an oven and so you can cook anything an oven cooks apart from something very large like a turkey! It is very easy to use; you just switch it on and it works. It is also very easy to clean and lift as it is light and tefal coated. You can use the base as a cooking /casserole dish to make lasagne, baked potatoes, shepherd's pie, vegetables, cakes, toasted sandwiches, steak, etc; the possibilities are endless. I bought the recipe book and there are also lots of online recipes designed specifically for the Remoska. The ones I have tried are delicious. I have made a white chocolate and raspberry pudding, a coconut cream pie, a curry, a chicken dish, potato dishes, an omelette/frittata and they have all been absolutely amazing. Making my own recipes has been incredible too. I actually did a comparison test with rib stew; I cooked one lot in the conventional oven and another in the Remoska. The Remoska version was FAR more flavoursome, although both were just as tender. I recommend you buy the cook book but it isn't necessary as you can make anything in it. The food that comes out of the Remoska really is delicious.I debated over whether to get the standard or the grand as there are three of us at home and we are quite big eaters. I bought the small one so that it would take up less room but it is more than big enough for our needs. The pot actually holds a lot. I imagine the grand would be good for a large family but I think the standard would do well for a family of four.I THOROUGHLY recommend the Remoska. I love mine and wouldn't be without it.

Plain practicle cooker.
This was my second Remoska, my old one was ten years old. I find it very use full for quick cooking of chops, sausages etc. Also good for cuury and stews. It is quite a utilitarian design with no fancy stuff, but this is what I like about it. My only dissapointment was the plastic stand which is very light compared to the Ramoska with the heavy lid on. My old one had a metal stand. All in all I would recomend this item. It is also light on electricity .

small remoska cooker
for over 10 years, i have had a remoska cooker and i could not do without it. very versatile, cheaper than putting an large oven on and takes up very little space. Great for jacket potatoes, ready meals, and pies and pasties. very easy to use but when it is in use make sure that the surface underneath the remoska is protected by something which is heat proof, otherwise your work surface will be damaged by the heat.

OLD VERSUS NEW, NO CONTEST, OLD EVERYTIME
I bought this to replace my aging old style Remoska, and I soon returned it, I have two main issues with this pan, firstly I recommend that you put a heat resist pad underneath this pan or your worktop gets very very hot. Secondly it was not fit for purpose, (in my opinion) I always cooked my sponge cakes in my old Remoska , but it was impossible in this pan, the tops cooked to almost being burnt but the inside was left uncooked. What is the use of it, totally useless. As to the problems that Lakeland had with the old style pan overheating , well if you look inside the lid of the very first type of the old style the heating element was a rod type, perfect for the job in my opinion, look inside one of the later type of this design and the heating element is made up of a ring of what I think are ceramic beads. now these beads go all the way into the handle area, no wonder the handles get very hot.Come on Lakeland, get your act together the rod style element served you very well, why ever did you change it.. Why can't you just go back to the tried and wonderful old type rod pan. Not rocket science in my opinion .

Not as good as my previous one.
Disappointing. Always had a Remoska cooker but think this one is much more lightweight and somehow not as good at roasting. Seems that the heat temperature has lessened.

Great for baked spuds and toasties
Great for baked spuds and toasties,so maybe a bit costly for those things. I have cooked other things in it also.

Brilliant!!
I had my last Remoska for years and used it more than my gas cooker, was desolate when it died - ordered a new one immediately and 2 days later there it was! I like the handles on the pan itself, makes dishing up easier. It is brilliant to cook with, I do a sort of stir fry with 6/7 vegetables most days and it cooks really fast and piping hot, easy to clean afterwards too. Excellent for fish and chops and small pizzas....in fact I use this nearly all the time.

Very useful in a motorhome
We use this in our motor home because we do not have an oven, just a three-burner hob. This is a very straightforward machine, it cooks stews, jacket potatoes and heats up ready meals. It is low wattage which is necessary for campsites.Only problem is that the heating element is in the lid so we have to be very careful when we take it off. Perhaps not a good idea if you have children with you.
