ASUS Designo MX27AQ 27 Inch Ultra-Low Blue Light IPS LCD Monitor - (Space Gray/Black) (100M:1, 300 cd/m2, 2560 x 1440, 5 ms, DP/HDMI/MHL)

Monitors are a NIGHTMARE for someone like me! I looked at HUNDREDS of reviews! I had a 24" IPS 1080p HP which was doing me fine, I just wanted something bigger and because I do graphics and motion graphics, I wanted to make sure the clarity was good.Monitors are still quite expensive when compared with TV's, which bewildered me a bit when looking, because you can pick up a 4k 43" Smart TV now for £400.This has already made a huge impact on my workflow, it's a joy to wake up in the morning and turn my pc on. I have a Surface Pro 4, with a beautiful screen (same resolution) and it was tempting to sit on the sofa and work from that, but now, I'm tempted to sell my Surface and get another monitor and a cheaper tablet, as most of my work is rendering and requires heavy CPU and GPU usage.The speakers are GREAT, I've seen some people saying they crackled - I haven't had that problem in the slightest! It's incredibly thin, incredibly professional looking - I'm not a huge gamer, but Rise of the Tomb Raider looks absolutely stunning!I honestly spent a long time looking at different screens and this was the best value for money and the nicest looking and the fact it comes with built in speakers is a nice bonus.You won't be disappointed at this price.

I admit I wanted to get a gaming monitor with a higher refresh rate but the picture quality and colour was too impressive to send back for a lesser screen. Gaming doesn't really suffer unless you are playing something fast and twitchy while anything non gaming looks fantastic. It also managed to make things shown at lower than 1440p resolution still look nice too. I may still get a high refresh monitor but this will be staying on the table next to it.

Upgraded from the 23inch Asus 1080p same style model to this , The bigger size screen and higher resolution makes a world of difference for games and every other task stunning picture qualityAmazing panel want's to be for the money to be fairIf your going to play intense graphical games with this monitor make sure you have a top of the range graphics card as 2560x1440p screen resolution is pretty demanding on graphics cards , I would say no lower than GTX970 or AMD equivalent for a good gaming experience.Not cheap kit but worth it as I think the monitor is the most important part of your system , may as well get a good one .

The monitor was okay which I used for last 3yrs and 5months as an external monitor to my iMac-27". Its gone completely black/non-responsive screen today. The warranty was for 3yrs and its life sustained another extra 5months! Thank you Asus for being so benevolent with the longevity of your product and allowing me to use it for another 5months beyond your warranty period! Definitely will never buy your product !!!

Unlike most monitors with integrated speakers, these speakers are decent, at least for "casual" audio.The bezel is nice and small, without noticeable light bleed.Personally I would have preferred a matte white (rather than brushed metallic) finish.No USB ports, the only minor annoyance I found.

Fantastic monitor! Just the controls a little awkward/odd as they're physical buttons and mounted to the back of the bottom edge. Other ASUS monitors of this ilk have touch sensitive buttons which are actually on the bottom edge. It is seriously bright and the default brightness was too bright for me - easily rectified through the controls. Clarity is just superb.

Great monitor. Currently used as a screen for my 2015 macbook pro, connected via displayport to mini dusplay/thunderbolt.The screen looks sleek and sexy with the brushed grey metal frame and stand. With a hint of chrome on the branding and inner circle of the base.The screen quality is fantastic and the built in audio speakers are also of decent quality considering their size. Highly recommend this monitor.

If they had put in a USB slots it would have been perfect. Colour was wonderful when put through the graphic card rather than running through windows 8, but then I needed perfect graphics for photographic editing. For most people it would be good however you used it. Very sleek.
