The Last Noo-Noo

Nice quality copy
I hadn’t realised it would be an “Americanised” version of the book, with words like pacifier instead of dummy etc. my mistake though as it was shipped from the USA

A family favourite - don't listen to the negative reviews about "bullying"
I used to read this book as a child. It was a family favourite for so many years, and both my brothers and I have treasured our copies. My cousin recently had a baby and I thought it would be a nice gift to get for her and the baby. The book came in excellent condition.I have seen some other reviews claiming that the main character is bullied by everyone and it's generally an upsetting book. I just think these reviews are ridiculous really. The reality is that people can be a bit mean sometimes, even your Grandmother! And often they have the best intentions at heart, the important thing is to try and understand one another. I remember this book helping me to understand and comes to terms with this. It also taught me to have confidence in myself and to stick by my principals and values - VERY important life lessons. The fact that Jill Murphy can teach this to 3 year olds speaks volumes.Honestly most kids find it boring to always be presented with sugar coated stories, I teach children in the age bracket for this book so I have a good idea of what children enjoy . It's far more interesting for both adults and children to be presented with reflections of the real world and how to over come problems you might face. After re-reading the book, before I sent it off to my cousin, I came to the conclusion that this is still a great book.

The noo noo has gone!
Bought this book to help grandson 'retire' his dummy. Was concerned it might be a bit scary but it seems to have done the trick along with much encouragement from his mummy

My favourite!
This is such a beautifully written book and gorgeous illustrations. It’s an old favourite and have purchased it to have for my grandchildren. It might not be 100% politically correct as has been mentioned in other reviews, but perhaps that also lends to what life will no doubt offer! My children and I have delighted in this book and I really do recommend it.

Good book and nice story - arrived slightly damaged though
Great story for a dummy sucking little one or not. Some of the pages looked as though they had been snipped on the edges by scissors. I wanted this for Christmas present and had no time left to send back so was a little disappointed and 18 month old grandson probably hasn't even noticed.

Not to be taken seriously!
A lighthearted and somewhat irreverent story about a little monster who refuses to be parted from his dummy. The story itself seems to have upset quite a few people, judging by all the negative reviews. Just remember, it's not intended to be taken seriously!

Funny book
A lovely story of self understanding and relianceOne thing tho’ I do think the use of words like STUPID are unnecessary its not a nice word for children to read nor use in everyday life
