A Great Story!!!
Everett and Raleigh, come together to be fake boyfriends in hope of showing off in front of Everett’s ex. Everett and Raleigh soon find that their relationship is more than what they thought. But Everett has always wanted his ex back. When he gets the chance will he take it and let Raleigh go? Or will he decide to keep Raleigh? This is a great read as two different department heads come together and maybe just maybe are able to enjoy each other. This is a great story and a great series. Have fun reading and enjoy!❤️

Sweet and Funny!
I am really enjoying this series! This is Everett and Raleigh's story. After meeting Raleigh in the first book I was interested to see what was behind the high school Football Coach's exterior. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really sweet and caring man. I really loved him right from the start. Everett is the school drama teacher, worried about losing funding for the arts to sports. This puts him and Raleigh on opposite sides of things and Raleigh just loves riling Everett up! Circumstances have them pretending to be fake boyfriends to attend a wedding and we are treated to all the snark and humor you would expect reading this author's work. I laughed out loud so many times! Slowly over time they get to know each other better and the attraction and chemistry grows! This leads to some great conversations and sexy times too! It did take me a bit to warm up to Everett, as I found him a bit self absorbed and judgmental at times, but as I got to learn more and more about him his behaviors made more sense. I absolutely loved the ending, it left me with the biggest smile on my face. All the friends are back from book 1 and their text exchanges and conversations are fabulous! I'm so looking forward to Julian's book next!

Obsessed with Raleigh and Everett
I loved everything about this book: the main characters, the side characters, the plot, the friendships, the ridiculously hot smexy times, the humor, the cover. All of it.We saw Everett and Raleigh bickering in Ancient History - and winning a surprisingly successful game of cornhole - and their animosity is my favorite type of not-really-enemies-to-lovers. For Everett, it was clearly a case of “he doth protest too much,” and Raleigh hadn’t pinpointed his feelings as attraction. When a social media post leads people to believe Everett is dating Raleigh, Ev gets them into a fake dating situation.Ev wants to save face in front of an ex-boyfriend at a wedding, and Raleigh convinces him they need to on fake dates before… for practice and authenticity! Ev calls it method acting, and Raleigh calls it an opportunity. All of the great fake dating and close proximity highjinks ensue, made extra fun by how charming Ev and Raleigh are. They still bicker (it’s good foreplay tbh), but now the have smexy times and realize they actually really like each other. The humor is on point, from the narration (dual 1st POV) to the dialogue. There is a DE-lightful cameo from Russ and Cal. Every time Ev called halftime intermission, and Raleigh called scripts playbooks, I giggled. Raleigh is the hypeman we all deserve, and Everett is the dramatic director everyone needs. I’m not just saying that because I’m basically Everett. Please drop everything and go read this book.

Snark! Drama! Love!
This series keeps getting better and better! Everett is the high school's Drama teacher. Loud, opinionated and tired of getting the short stick when it comes to school funding and attention, he's made Raleigh, the PE teacher and football coach, his sworn enemy. Snark abounds when the two are together- which is more than Everett would like since his best friend is dating Raleigh's best friend. When a slight misunderstanding requires Everett to ask Raleigh to be his fake date to a friend's wedding, he sucks it up and comes to find that Raleigh may not be that bad after all. This book made me laugh out loud a lot - but it was also super touching and sweeter than expected. Both characters were delightful and the supporting cast is second to none! Cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Love This Series!
I love this series and the author’s voice. I was looking forward to seeing sparks fly between these two and I was not disappointed. The sex is pretty hot.I don’t feel like we had as much connection between these characters as we had with Hutch and Amos in book one, and at times I felt like the characters lost their voice a little bit - just for a few pages at a time. That’s why I took off one star.I still loved it though. I didn’t laugh out loud while reading quite as much as I did with the first book. I wish we had a little more info about Everett’s and Raleigh’s pasts and families. And I fully expected a run-in with Raleigh’s ex Tori at some point because he was totally hung up by his ex-finance, but we never got that.I don’t really have any feelings about the next book’s characters, but I’m having a lot of fun with these books and excited to continue reading this author.

Just Perfect!
I absolutely loved this book. It was funny and sexy. I adoooooooooooored Everette and Raleigh’s relationship. I need more books like this. They vibed so unbelievably well. Their relationship was natural and ugh! They were just too cute. Everette was trying so hard to hold on to his “hatred” of Raleigh but who could resist that big lug. 10/10!

Perfect mix of humour and heart!
Second in the spinoff series; it works well as a standalone, but it is so much better if you've read the first book.Everett and Raleigh are definitely a mismatched pair- thespian and the jock- but deep down, both have been hurt and both in 'protect my heart' mode. This an enemies-lovers, fake boyfriend story, but it's so much more than that. Both men learn more about each other as they take a peek in each other's worlds. There are wonderful witty conversations, snark, in addition to warm and some heated moments. As always, it's lovely to see past characters.Highly recommend!

I loved the second book in this series sooo much. As usual the depth of characters is outstanding and inspiring. Great fun
Lots of lively dialogue and likeable characters. The plot may be old but this is well written and one of the most enjoyable and believable versions I've discovered.

fake it…. not
What a fun story full of sassy comebacks from our two favourite frenemies Everett and Raleigh. Oblivious only to them how much they were into each other.

Don't judge a jock by his muscles
I really enjoyed Reverett's story.Everett is the drama/public speaking teacher at South Rock High while Raleigh is the football coach. Tensions between them are high in the timeless battle between the Arts and Sports. In need of a proper date to his friends wedding on the heels of a coupley-looking photo on social media Everett lowers himself to ask Raleigh for a favour to be his fake date to the wedding so he doesn't lose face in front of his famous college ex.I thought that the author did a great job in setting up a believable fake dating scenario and I loved the practice fake dates leading up to the main weekend wedding event in which Raleigh really pulled to the forefront with his fake boyfriend game.In fact I loved Raleigh from beginning to end, he's the bee's knees. Everett I had a more difficult time with, he was almost to acerbic and judgemental. He was nowhere near as good a boyfriend to Raleigh as Raleigh was to him. I get that the whole point was to fool Everett's friend into thinking he'd won the lottery with an amazing boyfriend I just wish we had seen him softening more too. It made the whole relationship feel off-kilter, especially when it came time for the switch between fake to real. The chemistry was there but not the romance.Ultimately this is what kept this from being a five-star read for me. I needed Everett to show Raleigh that he cared. Something. Anything. I'd have been delighted with an additional scene following the football team's victory in which we saw Everett supporting his partner by being his biggest fan and taking him out for a victory meal of shrimp. It would have gone a long way to swaying me towards him because as it is he hasn't completed won me over and now it's too late.I also need to know what was going on with the quarterback, Jackson, he was distracted on the field, fell asleep in class and then was on fire for the final game. It almost felt like their was a dropped side storyline here.

Thrifting as a form of flirting? Yes please.
Fake datingJock/nerdHardcore thriftingA cameo by my bestie Cal from The Falcon and the Foe🥰🥰🥰I LOVED this. Instantly started this book after Ancient History. I also instantly started Romance Languages after finishing Drama. These books are so comforting, low drama with enough sprinkled in to keep them interesting.
