A red LED = charge in progress, green = fully charged. Blinking red = bad battery, perhaps voltage too high.Charging current is stated at 70-90 mA - I suspect the lower current is with all four bays filled.The car adaptor is capable of charging 8 cell 9.6 volt batteries fully as it probably uses a voltage multiplier to achieve correct charge voltage. Buy it again for sure.And received a day earlier than estimated, thank you! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it says on the tin, but get the right batteries *by M***K on 17 October 2015* This is so good and works as described. The only thing is it needs specific batteries which I don't think is very well explained in the purchasing blurb. I had a couple that were supposedly compatible but didn't hold their charge very well. Once sorted I out that problem I've not had an issue with this at all. This is being used to recharge 4 batteries as my TENS machine is in constant use at present due to sprained ligaments in my knee, so being able to have access to charged batteries when I need it is really key in managing the pain.
