Great item, very sturdy and so easy to use.

I use this for something very different to what most people would use it for. As a potter, I use this to make large circles from clay. Kind of like a giant compass, and it works very well for that. The blade is sharp, it’s easy to use and resize, and is accurate on soft clay. However, I can’t commenton what would it be like for its intended use, but for what I wanted it for, it was perfect

Does what is says. Used for marking out circles in soft materials. Would get 5 starts if it had a pencil holder adjacent to the cutter so that hard materials could be marked for dimensions.

Amazing tool, it marks the holes very well.but not the greatest at cuting them. The head has broken but still able to use it.

I nearly didn't buy this because of the negative reviews but it looked ok in the picture so couldn't see what the problem could be. For the money this is a more than adequate tool and the only thing that could be improved is, perhaps, a deeper cutting wheel. I think the negative reviews were probably through incorrect use. The centre pivot tightens onto the bar via the large handle which screws down tightly, not surprisingly, in a clockwise direction, and this holds very firmly . You must then place the pivot pin in the correct location and rotate the wheel arm in an ANTI clockwise direction. If you rotate it clockwise, this naturally unscrews the the handle and reduces the clamping on the bar rendering the tool useless so is an operator fault and not a problem with the tool.

Jag köpte den för att skära ut och göra egna papperspackningar. Hjulet skär jämt och fint i pappret. Verktygets finish är inte så fint men den var ju billig.

Good circle cutter but could have used a finer point to pierce the Sheetrock better.

...bei Kreisschneidern und überhaupt, dann kommt man um Stanley eigentlich kaum herum. Ich hatte bereits früher einen Stanley Kreisschneider, welchen ich aber leider verloren habe. Zwischendurch hatte und habe ich einen anderen getatzt, war aber nur bedingt zufrieden, da das Schneidrad bei diesem recht locker saß, es kippelte, was Maßtoleranz ermöglichte und das ist wenig erstrebenswert, wenn man präzise Ausschnitte braucht. Was mich auch immer ein wenig gestört hat, ist, daß wenn man Ausschnitte auf weicherem Matrial (etwa einer Steinwollplatte) machen wollte, die Nadel immer bis zum Anschlag im Material versank. Das ist bei kleineren Durchmessern ein umso größeres Problem! Ja, ich weiß, er ist für Gipsplatten konzipiert und das funktionierte er, bis auf das kippelnde Schneidrad, recht gut. Also habe ich mich wieder entschlossen einen Stanley Kreisschneider zu kaufen. Bei diesem ist die Anschlagkante (wenn also die Zentriernadel bis zum Anschlag ins Material eingedrungen ist) bei kleineren Durchmessern besser geeignet für weichere Materialien, etwa besagte Steinwollplatten, von denen ich sehr viele verarbeite. Der Kreisschneider funktioniert hier ansonsten genauso perfekt, wie bei Gipsplatten, einzig herausbrechen kann man den Kreis bei Steinwollplatten nicht- da ist die Säge dran:-) Die eingestanzte Maßskala auf der Schubstange habe ich indes noch nie benutzt- ich halte einfach immer einen Zollstock dran und stelle meine Durchmesser ein. Es dürften auch keine cm sein, eher Zoll, die in unserer Region nicht so häufig zur Anwendung kommen dürften. Das Schneidrad ist bei diesem Kreisschneider sehr gut verarbeitet, es kippelt nicht und dadurch sind genaue Schnitte sichergestellt.
