Trinity [DVD] [2009]

An enjoyable and compelling series
The basic plot is adumbrated in other reviews, so I will not repeat it here; all that need be said is that this series is well-acted (standout performances- among a good/very good cast- were Charles Dance (naturally), Paul Hunter as Dr. Linus Cooper, and Isabella Calthorpe as Rosalind, who develops from faintly unsympathetic consummate winner to a much more relatable character as the series unfolds) with a storyline full of plot twists which keep the viewer wondering what exactly is going on underneath the facade of this ancient university. I recall reading some TV critics' reviews which (unfairly, in my opinion) maligned the show; when I consider the absolute garbage that fills the schedules (246 different celebrity 'Dancing' shows? Sounds wonderful!), this series effortlessly stands out as something compelling and well worth watching.

WTF --
Missed this first time round: and the damned thing stopped me dead all weekend as I binged on it.... The initial sex scenes were gross: but thankfully there's not that much in it to distract from the brilliant story line.Charles Dance was majestic.(And the ending was riveting.)

... and a campus thriller and you would expect a good film. It is not
Combine a fantastique Charles Dance and a campus thriller and you would expect a good film. It is not! Incoherent script, unbelievable plots and an ending which is not one! Unbelievable film.

Enjoy the ride
What a show! Not what I was expecting at all and what a pity there was never a second series! I bought this on spec as we never got this program over in Australia and I'm so glad I did. Charles Dance was delightfully sinister and those two geeks who copped in on an episodic basis was at times cringe making and hilarious. I watched the first three episodes in one hit and never knew what was going to happen next. Not your average University full of crusty old Dons and students. So sit down and enjoy the ride.

Trinity - Fantastic
Watched Trinity over the Christmas break. I was glued to the screen for the whole series. The acting was superb, location excellent. Charles Dance was incredible as the sinister Dean hiding a great secret. My only disappointment was that I don't think ITV made a second series so there are unanswered questions.

what a load of rubbish
It is impossible to believe such good actors as charles dance and anthony calf could appear in such a piece of rubbish. It was the most asinine piece of filography that I have ever seen. I hope that both only signed up to it because they were having a bad day.

It was so disappointing! To connect with the viewers, there needs to be at least one character they care about. I stopped watching during the second episode.
