It's a decent device, well built and works fine. However I was misguided with the description ".. 4k HDMI, DP .. " in which case DP is supposed to mean Display port. It turns out device has only 1 HDMI output. Considering all previous older (and cheaper) chromeboxes, HPs, Asus etc all came with 2 Video outputs, it is really dissapointing at this price range. It is not a dirt cheap Chromebox after all. It would have been more expensive for me to send back from Singapore and get a replacement, so I had to keep it... I wrote a feedback on this but to my dissapointment, the misleading description is still there... UPDATE: Very sluggish with more than 2 tabs open. I managed to connect a second screen thru USD/HDMI adapter. Totally unusable... so so slow

I've only had this a day, so no longevity experience here yet. This is a beautifully assembled little Chromebox. It feels very well made. I bought 17 of them to stick on the backs of TV screens for use in a training lab. It makes for a very sleek setup. I just used Command Adhesive picture hangers and a very short HDMI cable. I chose this model of Chromebox because it is specifically stated to support Android App Store apps. Indeed, it installed the Play Store and I was able to download an Android SIP phone app called something like MizouDroid that, amazingly, worked with our office VOIP phone system. I made test calls out from the Chromebox. This will take a lot more testing, but it's encouraging for the possibility of using these Chromeboxes in place of Winderz computers for work at home employees. One little feature that I really appreciate is that this Aopen Chromebox Mini includes a metal power cord clip that screws on to keep the power cord connected. A small but very nice feature. Also, the power adapter is a brick rather than a wallwart. It uses a mouse-ear AC power cord. I have already ordered more of these Chromebox Minis.Update March 27, 2018. Used 17 of these at a convention. They worked great.Update Aug 8,2019. These are still working great after multiple trips being shipped by a trucking company. I'm going to buy more.

I had high hopes for this Chromebox. I bought it to replace my four-year-old, lesser-spec'd Asus M004U with 4GB RAM. This newer (but slower?) Celeron device is underpowered and locks at least once a day, requiring a long push of the power button. For context, I'm using it at work to work with Google Calendar, GMail, and Google Voice. Those are the only tabs open generally, which is a good thing because any additional tabs bring the blanks. I'm mindful of the extensions & know how to manipulate the swap file. Nothing helps. Stable channel, Beta channel, no difference. I contacted the manufacturer about expanding the RAM, and apparently it's soldered & non-upgradeable. It's my fault, i didn't dig deeply enough when I did the research.The bummer is that I kept it & played with it too long to return to Amazon, so now I'm stuck with it. Maybe the kid can use it for YouTube-ing or something.

I specifically purchased this Chromebox for use of the Android apps. You certainly have access to the Google Play Store and the the apps., but most will not run. The operating chip is incredibly slow and and the wifi strength and range is wholly inadequate. I'm writing on a Lenovo i3 Chromebook Thinkpad. I would not, under any circumstance, purchase a Chromebox or Chromebook with a minimum i3 operating chip, 4 Gb ram and 32 Gb SSD. I am donating mine to a local charity that will convert it to a full Linux Ubuntu computer. They will add a wifi dongle.
