Elbesee 7"/17cm Diametre Wooden Embroidery Hoop with Metal Screw Fastening, Wood, Natural, 7in 17.8cm

I am finding that I am going more for the Elbesee make as they seem to be the best value with the quality and price. I don't use these to frame my textile art, but do use them to embroider sections of materials because it is easier that way. Having a smooth surface is better overall for the material especially if you are using fine cloth such as silks, and easier on your hands too.I am surprised how many other ones you can buy that are roughly made and not finished. These are good though.

The brass screw and bracket were very strong, and held the frame in place tightly, without bending out of shape. Being doing embroidery for 60 years - best frame yet. And British made !

Really sturdy. Replaced my last one which used to loosen as you used it. This one remains tight. Only thing is, it can be a little stiff to secure. Sure it’ll get better over time. Good size too for my medium sized cross stitch

Arrived on time, flimsy hoop, rough as well, had to sand it down, put fabric in and can't get good tightness to use, going in charity bag

As far as I can tell will not break. Not used yet. Tend to be expensive for what it is.

I have used this, with the inclusion of a piece of cross-stitch to create a gift. I cannot find fault with it and would recommend this to other cross-stitchers

Very cheap and rough wood. Inner hoop is missing so can't be tightened. A very misleading picture. Only comes with outer hoop which is useless. One of my top worst buys.
