Review: Awesome speaker phone - I like having my hands free when talking on the phone; and if it is a long conversation I like to move around and not be tethered to a cord leading from the headset to the base. The speaker phone feature on this phone works so well that I never use my cordless phone or my headsets any more. Also, I'm sometimes required to participate in classroom classes, where I must participate over the phone because of my distance from the classroom. This phone does an excellent job of picking up the class facilitator, since they typically speak loudly and clearly. As long as a classmate does not mumble, you can hear them as well; but if they mumble the facilitator typically asks them to speak up (especially if you ask). Also, when I say something, the rest of the classroom can hear my words as well as voice inflections. Plus, since this phone uses 120v electricity instead of battery, when the classes run long, the signal does not peter out and eventually become inaudible (as happened with my cordless phones). In fact, I removed the handset from this phone, and I set up the phone to be exclusively a speaker phone for all my calls.

Purchased it for my 95 year old mother who could not remember to push amplification button on the phone she had. **Q: It doesn't look like it has room to write numbers for speed dial option; does it?**
A: Well there's little Slot, or sort of writing pad that slides out of the right side of the phone you can put your phone numbers on. I think its pretty neat And then you canslide this little note pad back into the phone when your done.

**Q: Does the speakerphone also amplify to 60 db--the same as the hand-held receiver?**
A: I'm not sure about 60 dB, but the speaker is very loud, and has a volume control that we keep at about 50%, she's happy with that.  It's very loud.

**Q: Where is the user manual????**
A: The phone should come with a user's manual.  (mine did)  If yours didn't, I would notify the merchant and ask them to correct the problem.

This phone is PERFECT for someone with serious hearing loss. Purchased it for my 95 year old mother who could not remember to push amplification button on the phone she had. The best feature of the phone is that the amplification is ON by default and the senior citizen does not have to remember to do anything but pick up the phone to talk. ### ⭐ MAJOR Static

AT&T came to the house to find out why phone was only producing a very loud static noise. They determined there was a bare wire inside the unit. I bought this for my Mom and it lasted just a couple of months. The other phone in the house was and is still working fine. My opinion is lousy quality control. I would not recommend this phone as no telling what else could go wrong. Not a cheap phone so very disappointed with this purchase. My window to return this phone ended just 1 and a half months ago. Wonder if manufacturer stands behind their products. I don't know how to contact them but will look into it. Still have box and paper work that came with it.
