I bought these for my tommee tippee bottle steriliser. do you remove the white shelves when descaling or keep them in there so they too can be cleaned

You can leave the white shelves in the appliance if you wish as the treatment will not harm them. The purpose is to clean the element which is in contact with the water when you fill it to use, as the instructions say, place the normal cycle quantity of water in the unit and add a sachet of descaler and switch on, once completed run another cycle (just fresh water) this will flush the appliance and you are ready to use it as normal once again.

How long does this product last?

Not long mine are in the bin! Avoid!

has anyone used this on a tommee tippee 6 bottle steriliser?

I have. On the packet it gives instructions re how to use them in a kettle and also bottle steriliser. I just followed the instructions and it worked nicely. I carried on using them until little one stopped having bottles.

Can this be used in a perfect prep machine ?

Avoid using in prep machine or steam steraliser. Follow toppee tippee advice re white vingar. I used these in steraliser and they caused damage!
