Would be good as a present, but I bought for myself

The HP Lovecraft Complete Cthulhu Mythos by Barnes and Noble Collection is an amazing and hardback collection. It arrived a lot later than expected, But when it did arrive I couldn't wait to dive in. ▪Construction 9/10 The construction of the book nothing short of lavish. It looks really good on the shelf and in hand with the gold accented details makes you feel like you’re reading something special and of the era. The hardback is leather bound with an intricate relief and design. However the gold accents on the edges of the pages fade easily on repeated contact. ▪Layout 8/10 The presentation of the text is clear, But inconsistent. Some of the alignment can be off in some chapters and there are many spelling mistakes. One or two would be understandable, But I found far too many throughout. 8/10 It’s the first time I’ve read the series and it’s unique, But the distractors of spelling and inconsistent alignment issues are far too many to ignore.

This book is absolutely beautiful and a fine salute to the king of cosmic horror. It has easily established itself as the prize book on my bookshelf, partially due to its aesthetic. Some of the colours on the front, back and spine can be scratched away and when taking the poster off the inside cover I found it almost impossible not to take some of the page with it. That said, I've owned this book for quite a while and its presentation still wows me every time I look at it. Some of Lovecraft's most well known stories such as 'the Call of Cthulhu' and 'the Shadow over Innsmouth' are featured in this book.Before purchasing, I had only read the larger titles written by Lovecraft, however, after reading this book I found that one of my favourite stories was 'the Horror in the Museum' which I had never encountered before. What I'm trying to say is that this book is good at providing the large titles which everyone wants to read but is also very good at providing the smaller ones that can be even more enjoyable. Almost every story in this book has entertained me in some way. The price may turn away some heads and if you just want cheap access to some of Lovecraft's stories then I would suggest buying another book or going to the electronic texts of Lovecraft which have all of his stories and poems written up electronically (it's where I read the story of Charles Dexter Ward which is not featured in this book). However, if you're looking to get a decorative volume of Lovecraft's tales with a good amount of his stories, then I would wholeheartedly suggest you purchase this book.

Love the works mostly if your reading hp u know what's going on but this book itself looks brilliant, nothing better to get the conversation going with a potential future partner than "ohh nice!!! So which cult is it you're in?" 😁 artwork poster that comes with it is quite nice too and after a few months looks as good as day 1.

革で表装されたハードカバーの英文書籍です。 商品画像では黒革をベースに緑、黄色、白色でクトゥルフがデザインされて見えますが 実際手元に届いたら黄色は金色、白色は銀色の箔押しでした。 緑色はマットな明るめのターコイズグリーンです。 ページの縁にも映りこむくらい綺麗に金箔がされているので なんとも豪華な雰囲気が感じられます。 買って良かった！ 革装本のコレクターの気持ちが分かるくらい丁寧なつくりでした。 あと、本の巻末に特典ポスターが入ってました。 低粘着のりで折込ポスターが貼り付けてあったのですが それをはがすのがかなり神経質にならないと内側の表紙が のりに持っていかれると思います。 （一瞬 ポスターに喜んだものの剥がす段階では ・・・・余計なことしやがって・・・と） や、 でも かなりうれしい豪華な本なので作ってくれた 方たちに感謝いっぱいでした。 ポスターもありがたい！ 飾り様がないけどね！！！ あとは革装本特有の経年変化が楽しめるといいですね。 作品の内容と表紙のデザイン・・・・ボロボロになっている様を 想像するのもたのしいですよ。 次世代の方が手にすることを楽しみに大切にしたい本です。
