The product is really well constructed and everyone loved it as soon as they’ve seen it

Bought this to supplement a Christmas village for my Granddaughter. It's well build and works really well. She's over the moon and loves watching it go round. There is an option to switch off the sound which is good. Very please I chose this and not a cheaper version.

Would give 5 stars except I was disappointed that the first Lemax train we bought three yeas ago just wouldn't work when we set it up this year. It ran perfectly for the two previous Christmases. However we put it down to bad luck and bought another one because it's by far the best Christmas train available.

No Lemax Christmas Village landscape should be without a Christmas train. The Starlight express is a recent model of train set to match Lemax Christmas Villages. The Christmas audio of children's cheery voices, festive music and the combined train driver's voice gives a great sense of excitement of the coming festive season. In addition the light adds that little suttelty to the train set. Some parts were broken on the first order. The seller replaced them promptly with no problem whatsoever. Great Company to deal with. I reckomend them highly. Their staff were extremely helpful.

Unuseable. Track distorted inbplaces track is 1 inch higher than adorning track. Box broken.

The Starlight Express is a lovely looking Lemax piece, and no village seems complete without a train but despite its strong visual appeal this model has several issues that aren't ideal at the price point. Firstly, there are lots of little parts that can arrive shaken off in transit. The candy cane decorations on the sides of the engine are particularly vulnerable, and easy to knock off when handling this part Secondly, the batteries go in holders in two of the carriages - and these have rather awkward clips which are fiddly to open and close without causing damage - either to themselves or to the decorations on the cars. Thirdly, although the mechanically-driven flying reindeer seems like a lovely idea, in practice it really constrains the design of a village setup, because so much clearance is needed to avoid the deer bashing in to houses, trees, taller feature pieces, and tunnels. It's quite hard to get this right too, as on one lap of the track the reindeer can be missing surrounding items, but several circuits later it’s in a different position when it passes the same objects and its legs are making contact where they weren't before. We ended up leaving this part off ours, which is rather a pity, but was necessary to be able to both keep our tunnel and avoid having to drastically reduce the number of taller pieces in our display.

The train was fine but the box was torn amd pieces were missing. It was packaged that way, had nothing to do with the postal service, I am very disappointed!
