Lots of fun to build. Pretty easy setup. Havinga basic knowledge of linux and raspberry pi is very helpful. Screen and sound both work great. Would buy again in the future!

I was trying to build a portable device for a while, from buying a psp/vita and customize it or a switch but the Retroflag GPi Case 2W + Raspberry Pi Zero 2w saved my life. The battery works for hours and the device is able to run most of old consoles, up to ps one but with limited controls. I use my device for old games (like vetrex, atari, etc) and they run smooth. Screen Quality is really good and has an adjustment for brightness which helps at night. Sound quality is also good and the only downside is that it doesn't have a type C connector for charging so you have to use the charger cable that comes with the device instead of having a standard cable for everything. But not a major issue. Also, if you can invest a bit more, I would get a CM4 with Retroflg GPi Case Deluxe (which comes with a dock, similar to Nintendo Switch).

見た目だけでポチ買いしてしまうぐらいいいデザインですね。もう少し大きければいいな〜と老眼を恨みながら使っていますが、非常にお気に入りの一品です。

This case has a good quality feel , and the buttons and dpad don't feel mushy . The battery has a long life and I have played this for several hours of homebrew games and youtube videos without issues.If I could change one thing about this case , it would be to change the power connector to something less delicate as rough handling could potentially damage it since it is such a thin connector.

This system is easy to assemble and if you opt to use the Recalbox operating system you can forego having to install the patches and scripts since Recalbox offers an image for this system.The screen is of good quality, the controls are about as good as you would expect on an old school Gameboy. The sound quality is decent and you have options for earphones if you're an audiophile.With the Pi Zero 2w installed you will be able to play PS1 games and all the generations of systems that came before it. Keep in mind, this system doesn't have analogue sticks and is lacking L2/R2 buttons so if you want to emulate games that require those features you may want to look into a different portable.Battery life is good. I've played this thing for hours and it hasn't died on me yet. It uses a standard rechargeable battery so if you ever have to replace it you'll be able to source one easily.Overall this is a good little system and I'm glad I bought it.
