If you want a "Monster truck" style slash, I would suggest going with 2.8" tires (standard slash uses 2.2") and upgrading your motor to a brushless (I run a Castle 3800kv) and modify your gear ratio (I run 16/86) so you don't overheat your motor. (I'd suggest a bare-bones thermal gun to monitor your temps if you want to min/max your gears) But I've run that motor and wheel combo on a 2S 40c Lipo through snow, mud, slush, sand, thick lawn, water and even on pavement with no issues.
