Beautiful, Wonderful, and Advanced
It took me 3 hours to tear down my most recent set up and replace it with this. Tight constraints but I’m a big fan of the ATX factor. My immediate concern being a novice PC builder was that there is a 4x2 and a 2x2 ATX CPU power pin. If you are NOT over clocking, the 4x2 pin is enough and will boot and run things no issues. Tons of fan slots. The armor plates are removable and double as a heat sink for M.2 drives which go under them and can be screwed back on over the drives. Very sleek design. Heavy. Lots of metal parts and I love me some old fashioned gun metal colors. There is a built in RGB a lot so you can use those silly 3 pin connections and light up your world. BIOS from Gigabyte has always been nice in my opinion. This one is just as lovely as prior iterations and felt a lot better too. This board helped me trouble shoot why I could not boot my PC as well, made set up take a much shorter amount of time. This Z690 AX is labeled as the king of gaming by gigabyte. It, combined with a 13th gen processor, knows no bounds and transcends defeat. I did have some minor issues bios flashing, mostly operator error, but ddr4 updates I had to go back and use older files (F20) to use a 13th gen processor.

Nice mobo- good build quality, highly adjustable settings, a little RGB eye candy
I really like this mobo. Highly customizable settings, nice build quality, etc. My buddy just built an brand new Asus system- flashed the recently released Asus BIOS update and bricked it. Asus sent him a replacement- two of the four RAM slots did not work. Give this Gigabyte Z790 Aorus DDR4 Wifi a chance. I paired it with a new Intel i7-13700 CPU, a Thermalrite Assassin air cooler, a Samsung Gen 4 M.2 drive and 48 GB of Corsair RAM. It screams in gaming even with a legacy Nvidia 3060Ti GPU. Flashed the BIOS to version F6 (due to recent security revelations) - super easy to do right thru Windows 11. Went perfect. Super happy with this mobo so far ! This is my first new gen computer build in many years. Just BUY it !

Gigabyte reliability is second to none.
Gigabyte boards just ALWAYS work. It's the only brand I use. Bought this one for an upgrade to socket 1700 Intel processors, without having to purchase new RAM as this board uses DDR4. I fired it up, checked the BIOS and made a few adjustments, then put Windows 11 in. Put it to bed. Next evening, after firing it up again, it contacted Gigabyte website and installed all of the necessary drivers and the latest BIOS update. Everything works perfectly and this is just my "backup" PC, which is now looking like it will take the place of my main machine until I also upgrade this PC. For CPU cooling, I went with a Noctua NH-U12S Redux with a second fan. Glad I did as this setup just fits when using a front to back air flow setup. The full sized Noctua coolers would probably not fit. All in all, I highly recommend this board for it's overall value, reliability, and versatility.

yup
well first off this board is def not for new builders. ive had soo many ups and downs and the sad part is , all i needed to do was update bios which i was 4months reluctant of doing sense bios updating is like never needed. After going through hell id like to say ive learned alot from fixing issues with this board . my last board was a z590 and that board was by far the best experience ever . little to no issues at all and i was able to push beyond all of my parts capabilities until my dumb ash fried it . it was on my part for being way topo excited to get a new gpu and not turn off the pc before going inside. that board is no longer in available . so i went on to a cheaper one . still no issues so i decided to build my dream pc. this was involved sadly. ive only had it for 4 months and have had the worst experience ever. i did end up making everything much better and learning alot on the way. this board will become my testing board and i will be buying a better one for my birthday in December. Asus has made everything much easier to deal with and there mother boards are considered the best for a reason. caution when buying this board u will want to throw it away bec of issues and or give up .4 stars bec the board is actually decent but not what i expected for over clocking. this board is def for someone who knows what there doing but i doubt they would buy this one

Been running this MB for 15 months trouble-free
Been running this MB for 15 months trouble-free with a 12600K CPU/G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory / KingSpec XG 7000 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4.0x4 NVME 1.4 Speed up to 7400MB/s Write Speed Up to 6600MB / ARESGAME AGV Series 500W Power Supply, 80 Plus Bronze Certified, Non Modular Power Supply and it has been rock solid, especially after BIOS update which was easy to update. There are several ways to update the BIOS. I chose the online BIOS update which was a breeze. But I only paid $120 for this MB which is now $300. I would choose a different MB at that cost. I don’t game at all. Primarily use for Office365, data storage, and streaming. I purchased this MB thinking I would use the onboard video but the refresh rate was terrible so I added the RX-580 to get a 165hz refresh rate which made a huge difference on the performance all around. The board has more features than most PC users need.

Outstanding Choice, Impressive Quality
Definitely one of my best purchases. While it looked great in the pictures, the reality exceeded my expectations. Holding it in my hands, I could immediately tell the high quality. Everything arrived in perfect condition, not a scratch and well packaged. I'm convinced I made the right choice. I haven't had any issues with the motherboard and I've used it extensively. The only minor detail is a soft electronic humming when the PC is under high processing loads, but it's only audible if I get very close to the board. I understand this is normal and varies between boards. Fortunately, it's not bothersome and hasn't interfered with my work at all. I would 100% recommend this motherboard. It's a worthwhile investment for its quality and performance.

Item got stuck for 1 week in US. DHL did not inform me until I checked via DHL tracking on the 2nd day of it being stuck, and then it remained in US for another 5 days (total 1 week delay), then it reached Singapore and received it in 1 day. Other than shipping issues, board looks really good, and works with i9-12900K and 3200MHz CL16 2x16GB DDR4 RAM (XMP set no problem), so if you've got similar specs you should be good to go! Intel 12th gen seems to have issues across various motherboards and brands for RAM speeds (both DDR4 and DDR5 seem to be affected) so i'd research on it and stick to as few sticks of RAM as possible until the RAM issues are fixed!

I'm not a gamer, just want a computer which is quick and reliable. This motherboard fits the bill. Easy to build on and setup. Would recommend, for sure.

I upgraded from a B660 motherboard to the Z790, because this was a great Warehouse Deal, and I am upgrading my CPU in the near future (come on Prime days!!). It fits like a glove, and it was, as far as I can see, never been opened, brand new. The savings were substantial and that already put me in a great mood. What do I not like about the board? Placement of the PWM fan headers could be better spread over the board. What do I like? Well, it is compatible with the LGA1700 Intel chips, and moving the CPU from one motherboard onto this one was a breeze. Because the board is bigger (full ATX) it fit my case snugly, there is still room to poke cables through and overall the cable management was easy. Except for one fan (exhaust) that sits way far from the fan headers, but it is what it is, and luckily I have extension cables. The manual is online, I did not find one in the box, and I printed off the page where I would connect the cables. Worked out perfectly fine. Some tight spots and I would really recommend, if this is the first time, to review some build videos either on Amazon or YouTube. I needed to order some extra motherboard mounting screws and PCI slot covers since the motherboard is larger and the video card is one slot lower. The software that came with the board is fantastic. GCC (management software) is to the point and is great in setting fan curves and setting the motherboard up the way you want it. XMP profiles are new to me, so I have not even attempted to overclock at this moment. Great motherboard and great prices, they go hand in hand. A worthy upgrade!!
