These are a great find.The gloves are very thick and definitely keep all heat off the body. I tried these both on the grill and as oven mitts to check the quality. In both situations I felt zero heat, however if you do expose them to a prolonged heat source (such as holding a hot oven tray more than 5 sec) you will in this case feel the heat getting through the gloves.They are very well padded and seem quite durable. The red parts on the glove are a nice grip material to prevent slipping.The gloves are very large so they could be used by a man or a woman. Although they are large the size did not interfere with my ability to grip. I also love that these cover my wrist and some of my arm. It makes it the perfect product for trending to items on the back of the grill.These are a terrific glove for grilling or indoor cooking.I haven't used the knife so I can't comment on that one. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Not great for extreme heat *by S***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 May 2017* Not great for extreme heat.
